AMU has a good reputation throughout India. It is central university and an Institute of National Importance. The fee structure is very low. Also, the campus life is unique.The engineering college has many alumni in good positions.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is regularly updated. Most faculties have Ph.D. from reputed universities an are knowledgeable in their subject. Regular classroom teaching takes place. I think in the area of industrial exposure, engineering can improve a lot.

Placement Experience
Engineering College has a Training and Placement Office. It is responsible for placement process. Most students of computer engineering get placed. I think TPO should put more effort in bringing reputed companies to college.
College Events
The campus life of Aligarh Muslim University is unique. We have traditions which are more than a hundred year old. Seniors are very friendly and helpful. The students are famous for their tehzeeb. The university is the heart of the city. Annual Celebration takes place on the birthday of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the founder of the university known as SirSyed Day. Experiencing SirSyed Day is a once in a lifetime experience.We have many clubs at the university. The University Debating and Literary Club (UDLC) regularly organizes litfest in which reputed personalities are invited. Many technical clubs like the AUV club, Robotics club, and Formula One club is also there.
Campus Life
AMU's Maulana Azad Library is the largest university library in India. You can find almost any book there. Every department has a separate seminar library too. Engineering College Book Bank provides students all books for course at a very nominal price for duration of one year.Unlimited WiFi will good speed is available throughout the campus and hostels.Sport facilities are amazing. We have two hockey grounds, a football ground, swimming pools, tennis courts and a beautiful cricket ground. We also have a horse riding club.Labs are well maintained and have adequate equipment. Although, I belive we can improve in this aspect.
Hostel Facilities
Engineering students are allotted one of the two halls of the university: Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall or Nadeem Tarin Hall.For those students allotted Sir Shah Sulaiman, getting a separate room for undergraduates is impossible. Students in their first year are allotted a hall shared with about 6-10 Students. In second year, students move to a 4 person room. Every Hall has a reading room and a common room. There is a separate cricket ground and football field for hall.Most rooms are very old. Some of these rooms need maintenance.
