Remarks
Has quality education and is diverse in culture as well as has a very student centred ambience. The professors are extremely nurturing and treat the students as friends and is very understanding. Professors are well qualified and there is discipline within the campus. Also the student community there is very welcoming and treats everyone like a family member.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well, when it comes to the course, it isn't as vast and updated as it is in other central universities. Our college is under NEHU, so it has to follow the syllabus set by NEHU. The professors are very good and well qualified, just to name a few, Professor Jacob Shylla, Professor Amanda from the English Department, Professor Mandakini Basu and Professor Morning Lyngdoh were just some of the many good professors from the humanities section.
Placement Experience
Placements in the college are quite okay. There are job placements by banks like ICICI and also some of the students were employed by Google as far as i remember.
College Events
Campus life was extremely fun. We had numerous guest lectures and student development programs. We also went for recreational trips to the outskirts of the city which was initiated by the value education department. Not to forget, we annually had our college week which is more of a college fest for a whole week, with numerous indoor and outdoor games and competitions, music, food and entertainment.
Campus Life
We do not have a lot of space in terms of land, but the buildings are well furnished and comfortable. We do have a basketball court within the campus and have two canteens along with a stationary store in the campus. There's also a botanical garden at the back of the college building and fishery ponds for the fishery students.
