Remarks

One of the first NAAC A accredited colleges in North East India. The college has compulsory extra curricular activities to be attended by students.There are a high number of seminars attended by eminent personalities. The college also has good placement cell and the Mass Media Department in the college has ranked 1st in North East. The college also has a very pocket friendly fee structure (14000 per year for Arts students). The NCC wing of the college has the reputation for being one of the best in North East and has the highest number of selections on an average for Republic Day Camp in Delhi.

Course Curriculum Overview

The college teaches the syllabus prescribed by NEHU. It is very balanced and assignments are also given to students to ensure proper development in academics. However, scoring marks is difficult when it comes to literature subjects in NEHU. Faculties in general are experienced and some have PhDs in their respective fields.

Placement Experience

The placements are especially good in Commerce with MNCs and banks like HDFC,SBI,Wipro etc coming for placements.

College Events

The College has many events like Kargil Vijay Diwas, Independence Day Celebration, Anthony's Day, College week etc. The events are accompanied by food fests and games for the students. The college also has jam sessions after every function.

Is UCC good?

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was not my actual mind to opt my major which is history, since it was hard to find open colleges late I had to adjust to it. It might be better since I had a habit of remembering things that are upto no use in the present or maybe better for securing jobs as it is quite in needy in these aspects. It's still not very clear in my part but it partially taught us the basics It gives us 3 hours of time per paper and it's not very different or very hard because it has been always the same pattern along with the portions

Course Curriculum Overview:

The way they prepare the question is the main reason for me to choose this college. They really provide not only bookish knowledge but also how to deal with the real world. The examination that they conduct are very reasonable because they give us the amount of time that a normal students need to be prepared for an examination. So I think it's quite reasonable and nice.

The course curriculum in the college is good and i do understand but i have some problem in arthimetics and ststistic as i was poor in mathematics.My decision for choosing this course is in have interest in computer and technologies so i'm choosing this course as it is professional course i may get some opportunities in getting job after completting my study.

We get packages around 10 LPA but mostly students opt for heigher studies as only 10 -20 percent of students successfully get placed My plans are for masters in technology after the degree . Course Curriculum Overview:

In UCC, earlier my brother and sister also studied and i could not make in Anthony's and Edmund's, so I choose this college. The allocation of college is one the best I have seen so far. It is best for those who want to be something in life because the college is little bit far from the main town and the local near this college also not allow any consumption of alcohol, drug, weed etc in the village. They even not allowed to sell them. I like this college as it is. So I don't want to comment on the improvements. The timing odlf exams is similar with other colleges, 3 hours.

ST ANTHONY’s COLLEGE SHILLONG

I chose this college as its just 100 KM but the other one was too far. Plus was expensive too as I come from a middle class family. And the course in the other college had a rule that you can't just pursue music and you have to take 3 degrees all together. So if you take BA. MUSIC you have to take BA. PSYCHOLOGY and BA. I originally wanted to go to Delhi university I even got the seat but because of the delay of the Cuet result I had to keep my option open. I applied to maybe 4 college one is from my local place, the other one is b.booruah,st Anthony's and DU. But since my Cuet results were delayed I ended up in stb.Anthonys I got accepted in the other two college which I applied for but since st.Anthony's was my second option I came here. In st. Anthony's due to some network issue my acceptance mail was stuck so I had to come here in the college and talked with the principal after finally talking with the principal I received my email and my admission was done.
