Remarks
Good infrastructure, nice location, national importance, autonomous, excellent faculty and facilities. These are some of the external factors which decided my decision to took admission in IISER Mohali along with study interest in basic science and a dream to become a scientist is also one of the main reason I'm getting admission here in the IISER Mohali.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are very good and knowledgeable. Always helpful and having a very nice behaviour. Punctual to time. Always available to discuss doubts and problems related to academics. Some professor also help students in paying their fees who are poor and unable to pay the fees.
Placement Experience
There is one young Entrepreneurship Cell in the college and is trying to establish in a basic science research institute where people' prefer to PhD after their undergraduation then direct placements or jobs. Recently it has some collaboration with Indian School of Business but still it have to done a lot and it is also planning to establish a placement cell in the college and hope it will be established soon.
College Events
Campus Life is enriched with a lot of fun activities and competitions organised by various clubs every week with exciting prizes. Club weeks are there where 1club organise events for the full week. All the cultural festival are celebrated with a great participation from almost all students of the college. Foundation day is celebrated every year.
Campus Life
Total campus area is near about 130 acres. Sports facilities are extremely good and every year intra and inter IISER sports meet are organised. Labs are well equipped with instruments. Issues of lacking funds was also there.
Hostel Facilities
Total 5 hostels among which one is visitor hostel which was mainly built for guests and parents' of students but due to less no of hostels seats in the 4 main hostels, some students of PhD are also staying there. Every room has a ac and attached bathroom there but in the 4 main hostels bathroom are not attached and installing a ac is not allowed there. You can install cooler there.
