AIEEE - 357, I chose because I wanted to pursue electronics and electrical engineering course which is offered only here after IIT kharagpur.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is standardised as per instructions from AICTE. It contained almost 50% subjects that are required in electonics and computer science and information technology in relevant detail.
Internships Opportunities
In internship one may not get help from college administration as Training and placement cell is too lazy in this context .I did mine in DRDO lab. In my times internship period was 6 weeks but now it is about 6 months. And have seen many students getting good places.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities are there though not umpteen. College has few collaborations with IT companies but won't rate it very best because much can be improved.
College Events
There is good mix of festivals of all range (technical, cultural, management) for students. Though technical festival was a problem few years ago because of finances , it has picked up momentum now.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It is bit expensive as compared to other government owned institutes. General fees structure can cost you around INR 2.25 lacs for 4 years. Each semester fee was approximately inr 22500 during my times and exam fee was around inr 1200 with some inr 350 for college and university fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
If you be in top 10% of class then your fee can be waived to full for top 5% and to half for next 5%.I was eligible for halfship for first year basis my AIEEE rank.
Campus Life
Campus life is very good given the fact that location of college is in Chandigarh. College life here surrounds you with perfect mix of academic opportunities, extra curriculum activities, friendly and encouraging atmosphere .I was part of around 5-6 clubs that helped me gain confidence.
Exam Structure
Exam are on general pattern as that of a typical engineering college.Semester seasonal exams are followed by final exams.
