Remarks

Among the many colleges I applied to, R.D National was one of the best colleges. I have had senior friends from R.D National College and their review was very impressive. The main reason for choosing this college was it Placement facilities. R.D National colleges has one of the best placement cells in Mumbai. They have a tie-up with high class and reputed companies. Other than that, the college conducts informative seminars for it's students which is definitely going to help you in the corporate world. Talking about the extra-curricular activities, R.D National college will not only give you a chance to ace at academics but will help you grow better within yourself because every week the college has some or the other activities going on and 90% of it is handled my students itself. Every festival is celebrated with joy irrespective of caste/religion. The faculty of this college are extremely professional and also down to earth. They will put 100% in class and in non-academic activities.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am pursuing Bachelor of commerce - Accouting and Finance (BAF) from R.D National college. This course is one of the best courses to graduate with because it first year it starts from the basic level and by the time you reach the last you are a professional in Accounts and Finance. This course teaches you, not only accouting but also good communication and morals. This course in a package prepares you completely to face the real world. In R.D National College, BAF department was always the best in academics and also in extracurricular activities. The professors of this department are highly qualified and professional. Mr. Mukesh Kanojia and Ms.Krupa Shah are the pillars of this department. They are very supportive and they always give their students the opportunity to participate in activities and events. Every year the department plans a one day industrial trip to get an exposure to the real corporate world.

Internships Opportunities

I am currently doing an internship at Prayaana. It is an NGO and hence there is no stipend. Prayaana is a woman empowerment and entrepreneurship organization. The organization has many platforms for the upbringing of women. As an intern at this organisation, you get to learn a lot of things other than your mainstream career path. I had joined looking for an accouting profile and I have mastered not only in accounts but also in other places like marketing, PR, hosting, etc.

Placement Experience

4

R.D National College has one of the best placement cells. They have high class and reputed companies like Asian Paints, Deloitte, Banks like HDFC and ICICI Prudential. The placement process is different for different companies. Undergoing a Group discussion (GD) round and then a undergoing a personal interview in the basic procedure. The head of the placement cell Ms. Manpreet triesher best to bring in good companies and internships.

College Events

5

The events/festival in R.D National College are the best part of a students college life. They are very lively and it gives you an opportunity to deal with real world corporate sector; for example- Sponsors, campus partners, creative partner, etc. The management of all the festivals is done totally by students. There is no partiality when it comes to choosing the head of each team because they have actual corporate leader coming to interview the student for a certain position. "Meterdown" fest conducted by students of BAF and BMS departments and "Cutting Chai" conducted by students of BMM department are two extremely huge fests of R.D National college. More than 70 colleges participate in the fest and the footfall goes above 3500. The sponsors and partners are big companies and the activities conducted are professional and fun at the same time.

Campus Life

R.D National college doesn't have a huge campus but in the space they have, they have managed to cover up everything that's required. The college has a huge library with many different varieties of books and novels. The college has an indoor badminton court and and outdoor basketball/Volleyball court. The college has wi-fi which is used only by the faculty. The office of this college is very systematic and won't cause any trouble. There are different rooms for every cell; for example - Exam cell, Railway concession cell, NSS cell, etc. Computer labs and science labs are well equipped. The canteen of this college consists of a variety of food items and they are delicious.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.
