College with good values

The college is overall above average. There are many good qualities in the college and some bad qualities. Good qualities include good educational opportunities, different diploma courses, NCC and NSS, different events held by different departments. Bad qualities would include lack of good college life, nav regular college fest or annual functions.

The course curriculum and exam structure are apt according to the today needs. There are many diploma courses available in information technology, forensics, language, research, geography etc in which students from all departments can enroll as per there wish. the college provides great opportunities to improve your knowledge of the course and learn new skills but there are very limited opportunities for co-curricular activities. It's not that there are no curricular activities but they are very few. so if you're looking for a good college life this is not the place for you, but if all you expect from college is good quality education and learning new skills then this is the perfect place.

The call which provides placement opportunities in the final year. Before placements begin the college has its own replacement program where they make the students get familiarised with placements. The college does not provide internship opportunities itself you have to find it yourself but they do provide good placements.

Most of the events are organised by geography department for Hindi department. So most of those competitions are related to the subjects like awareness of environment then poetry competition write your own poetries debate competition speeches etc.

Fees is, I must say, very affordable. in courses like BA or BCom if you get a good rank then your fees will be around 5 to 6000 per annum. if you get a rank around 300 to 500 in BBA and BCom then your fees should be around 25 to 27000 approximately. In other courses, fees for every student selected are same ranging around 25000-56000 per year.

There are scholarship opportunities available. Students whose parents are in government jobs are not allowed to apply. Other than that everyone can apply and get upto 15000 a year, varies from student to student. In order to avail you need to apply for it. For which you'll need signatures of your professors assuring that you had an attendance of 75% in your semester.

Campus life is quite boring one might say. Girls are relatively more than boys here. Since the students here come by qualifying entrance exams, there is diversity in culture, cities they come from. There are students from different religions mainly Hindus and Muslims. Religion or ethnic diversity is never a cause of difficulty in the college. Every student is treated equally and fairly.

I have my home here so I did not opt for hostel facility. But as I have heard from my hostel friends, the rules of the hostel are very strict recording going out. You can go out oily pure hostel only when your relative or a family member calls the warden informing them about the same. Rooms are quite comfy.

If I be completely honest then unless you are a hostel student, there are very limited opportunities for interactions with your seniors. most of the students don't even know who are their seniors because the timing for classes are different for first year second year and third year students. First year classes are held in the morning shift, final year batches are held in the afternoon shift. Show this results in limiting the interactions. All the it also does a good thing which is prevent ragging of the students. The college is strictly against ragging.

I applied for the entrance exams which are held by the college itself. the questions are basically school level current affairs and general knowledge including some questions related to the course that you are applying for. The entrance test is not very difficult since there is no negative marking. There is no need for any prior or proper preparation for these exams. When I qualified the entrance exams I was called for counselling and then I got my admission.

The faculty of the college is good, they are responsive. Most of our professors were PhDs in their subjects having good knowledge and experience. Some of them have been teaching for 20 years so far, which leads to better experience and better grasp on the topics.
