Gudlavalleru Engineering College - 2011 Passed out

Management should increase chances getting more on-campus interviews which will help many graduates to get jobs and also management should focus of many activities as conducting debates, ppt's with Students.

As this college falls under JNTU-Kakinada university, we follow the same course which university prefers and there is nothing to point out in the course as all the necessary subjects which are needed for an young software graduate are available in the course. Industrial visits are not organized, if organized also that will be just a tour for students. On-campus placements - Exactly speaking except TCS, there is no MNC which recruited students as Software Engineers. and TCS also recruited only 18 students, who are toppers from each stream.

TCS - Software Engineer position,HP - KPO.I don't remember any other MNC's which came to our college except these. Yes, we have separate classes conducted for Analytical reasoning and aptitude. Apart from these, communication is the one which matters most for a person to attend interview. Students are trained with Aptitude & Reasoning and even English but students should speak in English from Day1, then only they can face Interviewers or else college should conduct debates everyweek in every class which will definitely increase ability of student to speak.

Annual day is celebrated, in which college will send invitation to all the different colleges of state for participating. This will be conducted for 2-3 days. Students around the state come and participate in this event. Musical Night on the last day is something we never forget.

As I joined in normal quota - where fee is around 29000 per year. But at that point of time, government is running both Free seat(9000-exam fee) and double payment seats which is around 60000.Apart from these, college also entertain NRI quota which is donation seat.

I'm unaware of the scholarship in our college. Education loan depends of the bank which we go for it.

We don't have any hostel for Gents in 2011. We only have PGs and on an average we used to pay 5000 per month. In college we only have canteen, which offers food on timely basis and with a menu of 2/3 items for Snacks/Breakfast and for lunch its only meals, nothing else will be available.

I have attended alumni in 2012 & 2018/2017. 2012 is conducted in college itself. But in 2018 its conducted in Hyderabad because of which crowd is more and I don't see college has conducted Alumni out of college which will be very easy for many Alumni's to participate.

I want to become as software engineer from my childhood, Initially not even known about this college and applied for different colleges around Vijayawada for IT/CSE but didn't get a chance, so in second counselling applied for this college as I heard good reviews from a well-wisher of my family.

Very less faculty is top notch. Can remember the basics explained by them still now but few faculty just stay in college after their Graduation/Masters in the same college and are pain for students. Some of faculty is not competent to explain the things though they have good knowledge on subject. They should spend more time on their presentations kills.
