Remarks

The college is famous all over India for its arts courses. The institution moulds you to be better suited for your career as much as possible. Umpteen opportunities of development and growth keep coming up. Besides you get to hear talks for experts in their fields. Aside from theory, they try to show applications of theory in the real world. The teachers are extremely good in their subjects and they are student friendly. The infrastructure of the college is beautiful.

Course Curriculum Overview

I?m hoping to Major in economics and statistics and both these facilities are amazing. My curriculum is very updated. My college being Partially autonomous has rights over curriculum and marks distribution. Many talks from national and international experts are held based on our subjects. Projects given are very application based and not just theory.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 6500 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have internet at Square Sequel consulting however it was not through college.

Placement Experience

I?m not sure but I know companies like google Wipro etc have come before. Students with eco and stats get really good placements but I?m not sure about other subject combinations. The alumni network is good.

College Events

Xavier?s holds Malhar. It is a really big fest. Students from all over Mumbai turn up. In Xavier?s you are sort of forced to participate in some or the other extra curricular because we get credits for it. So you need to have these credits in order to graduate, only academics is not enough. Doing fests gives these credits so participation is always high. Besides malhar there are many fests each department holds and they have a decent amount of crowd coming in too.

Campus Life

There is a gymkhana but I have never been there. I have heard it?s good however I?m not sure. The library is really really good and large. New and really old books which you may not find at other places are available. You get free voda phone and Airtel WiFi, I didn?t sign up for the college WiFi so I have no clue about that. The college has a good and beautiful architecture. In fact it?s famous for it.

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

The college is excellent because there are numerous facilities available such as experienced staff members and a wide range of instruments such as HPLC, HPTLC, UV, IR, and others. the college has good infrastructure, including a large library with nearly 6000 books and a campus with WI-FI .there are three research labs for PG students, and the college has its own licensed animal house. The Vibrant Life at St. Xavier's Mumbai

I applied to IIM Indore, St. Xavier's mumbai, TAPMI Manipal and I had given CET exam to apply for colleges in Mumbai. I did not clear the IPMAT exam as I prepared only for 2 months, so I didn't make it to iim indore. St. Xavier's being one of the top colleges in India was my next choice. I also got into TAPMI Manipal but I chose Xavier's over it as the ROI was better. For admission in Xavier's you've to clear the Xavier's Entrance Test (XET) for BMS, BMM and BSC-IT. Post which you'll get a call if your name is in the merit list. Rest of the process is done in the college itself, where you'll be asked to submit your documents and fill out some forms. Campus life at xaviers

I choose Xavier's because the BMS course it offers is one of the best and is very affordable as well , I was comparing Xavier's with christ,nmis etc. the BMS course offered in their college is extremely expensive and not as reputed as Xavier's and the placements that they offers is not good as Xavier's as well,Xavier's also has a good alumini and good word of mouth than these colleges, as for the admission into courses like BMS ,BMM,BSC-IT there is an entrance test called XAT and we have to clearit, the weightage is 60% score form the entrance test 40% from board exam scores and the final round will be an interview after which it is decided if one is selected for the course or not there is a reservation for Christan quota in the college as it is an Jesuits run college...Read More
