Great Community and is like a family

St. Joseph's college (Autonomous) or SJC is best college for me. And I really never regret joining here.

Course curriculum are really nice. Keeping in mind of highly knowledgeable students and average students, the curriculum is apt for everyone, they help in research and moreover we have research centre in our college. They are placement orientated, there is placement cell in our college which helps students to keep informed about placements.

There are many posters set up in notice boards and they will mail us about the placement, there are also placement representatives in every class and are more focused to place most of their students in good companies. I being a second year student of B.Sc dont know much about internship and companies that visit. 3rd years knows that much.

Actually there are so many fests, events which are conducted in our college, every week there will be fest or event conducted by one or the other department our our college. There is also fests conducted by student council of our college which will be amazing. Our inter college fest is called VISAGES. Students from many colleges in Bangalore come to participate in competitions.

Fee structure is really feasible. Science courses are government aided, hence there is more reduction in fees. For B. Sc (PCM) which us my course it's 35, 550 rs. Per annum. And it's really feasible for my financial condition. Our college accepts payment only through DD. And the fee structure is totally transparent, they provide details about each and every facility and fees.

I havent opted for any scholarship or education loan. But our college offers many scholar ships and informs us about every scholarships provided by government. They put posters and notices correctly and even the correct procedures and steps needed will be put, our non teaching staff also helps us to avail scholarships by guiding us.

Our campus is quite large and has almost all facilities, there are hostels, mid day meal scheme, canteen, health centres, campus WiFi, bank ATM, stationery store, etc. Gender ratio is amost 1:1 and we can see equal number of girls and boys is campus. And we are strictly against any sort of gender stereotypes, racism, bullying and ragging. We follow secularism, and every religion is respected equally. We have students from almost all parts of India and there are counsellors ad counselling centres.

No. I haven't opted hostel because I reside in Bangalore only. There are there big hostels in our college. And plenty of PG's near college. So even if students come from far place they can have a shelter.

Our seniors are really good. They take most of the responsibilities to maintain the college. We have a good no. Of aluminies who frequently keep in touch with college. I still didnt have any interaction with alumini, but I know many seniors they help me how to manage everything and help in many things.

Many of my teachers recommended SJC, and I too felt this is a very good institution as an all rounder. My relatives agreed to this college and after looking into many websites and sources, SJC was always one of the top colleges. The courses offered, campus facilities and all were good. They interviewed and considered our marks of PUC to get admission.

Faculty of our college are really understandable and passionate for teaching, till now most of the teachers who thought me are really highly Knowledged and have mastered their subjects. They help us understand the topics and let us to critical thinking of the concepts.
