Course Curriculum Overview

The syllabus here is quite diversified. For the first two semesters syllabus is similar for everyone for further semesters choice is given for few subjects like army law, public law,military law,etc a person can choose from them depending upon his future interests.

Internships Opportunities

Being a fresher, I don't have any personal experience of internship. But yes I have heard from my seniors of doing internship under various firms,NGO's like amarchand and mangaldas, luthra and luthra,ek pahal, Delhi legal service authority, etc. And these internships are not provided by college, students by themselves make efforts for them.For initial internship ,hardly they get paid, but later on after experience stipend is under 10k or above it depending upon work.

Placement Experience

There are not many companies visiting uptil now. But have heard about the replacement of placement officer and many new and reputed companies to be visiting in near future. The company I have knowledge that visited in 3-4 months span of my college are Clifford Chance,some Real Estate company. The highest package in past years is 8lacs p.a. and average is 4-5lacs p.a.

There is fresher's and farewell (official and unofficial both)Also a fest in February takes place when whole of DU's colleges are engaged in fests. As this will be my first time so have no idea about it. I have heard that the fest of our college is not on a large scale and is not that good too.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is extremely feasible. Fee I paid at the time of admission was 5234 INR which includes examination fees too.

Fees and Financial Aid

As fees is already less. So I don't think of any loan facility. I have not availed any scholarship and have not a single bit of clue about it.

Alumni/Alumna

There is a bunch of notable alumini ,kapil sibal,arun jaitely,Kiran bedi , sitting judges of supreme court and high court are from faculty of law.Not a good network with them but few few are invited as Chief guests for various occasions.College seniors are really good and helping.

Exam Structure

There is semester system so exams are conducted twice a year.No extra tests or FA or SA are conducted.

Delhi University bringing a diverse opportunity.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Being very passionate about law it brought me closer towards the subjects i thought I'd never like. It's vast curriculum has made me like a lot of subjects and has also given me a real life applications and further academic achievement however I feel like the curriculum should focus on law subjects from the very beginning and teaching could be improved by further interactive session between students and faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum in law faculty is based on bare acts and case material provided by faculty itself. Study is totally case based and very comprehensive. I choose law after graduation because I find law very interesting subject and it is very interesting.

There are not as such campus placements but the students secure ppos from the law firms. Majority of the students do not go for corporates as the field diversified in judiciary, litigation etc. The placement cell is working hard to bring in companies for hiring.

Decent college for five year law

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good for the real world applications as the course teaches us about the practical work. They can improve their course by adding more moot court practices during the semester and by giving the students the opportunity to practically utilise the bookish knowledge they are gaining.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very much practical knowledge based and helps the students to grow there legal reasoning which helps them to prosper in the profession. Also it helps them to read and correlate the real time judgements being passed, this curriculum prepares the students to understand the reasoning behind the judgements. Though the curriculum is practical knowledge based it still requires many improvements as these case are old and some of them are even overruled, also the we have to write very long answers which needs to be changed as new methods like ooen text book exams can be adopted to improving.

Placement Experience:

After 2 years of integrated courses, you can become eligible for a job. In law, there is no company, but if you have good communication skills, you will be placed in one of the high courts or supreme courts under a senior lawyer. I don't know much about packages. My plan was to go to Oxford University for further studies.

The Best Law College in India

One thing that is common to almost all the public educational institutions is that they have good faculty members and bad administration. It is somewhat similar for the faculty of law. The teachers are more than great but when it comes to the administration it may be a little troublesome. Generally the problem arises in the delay in getting ID cards, case materials, library cards, examination forms, admit cards and so on. But this isn't much of a trouble since there are helpful seniors who are always there to help you. Also, the people in administration are also not so rude and are pretty student friendly. My overall impression of this college being myself a first year student is much more better than I expected it to be. The faculty has great facilities especially in the new building called the Umang Bhawan (for Law Center 1 and 2).
