About TAPMI

It was a good learning experience for me overall and were the best 2 years of my college life.

Course is designed in such a way as to impart practical learning to the students using industry cases and peer to peer learning. There are 6 trimesters in total with exams conducted at the end of every trimester. Also, there are other evaluation components viz. Quiz, projects, submissions, simulations, viva, Class participation which carry 40-50% of the total evaluation.

Placements are quite good. There are enough opportunities for Finance and IT students but far less companies come for Sales and Marketing roles. Internships also have a similar scenario, students get PPO offers on good performance. Generally, GD and two to three rounds of PI are conduted as a recruitment process. For some companies, psychometric/ written test is also there. Mostly 95% of students get placed. Placement prepration sessions such as mock GD and Pi, resume workshop are conducted by external agencies on campus.

Atharva- inter B-school fest for students across all the Indian B schools with approx 500+ participants and guests; Speed- sports event at the college level; Waves- cultural fest; Brandscan- annual market research fair conducting all over India; Batch, City, International alumni meets; Disha- Management conclave inviting industry stalwarts for guest lectures and panel discussions; Consultant of the year.

Program's tution fee is 13,00,000 for two years plus hostel fee of 2,70,000 excluding electricity charges and mess charges. The college has online transfer mode for fee payment. Additional fee of INR 20,000 is charged for lifetime alumni membership. Yes they are very transparent and state clear fee breakdown in the admission offer letter.

I didn't opt for any education loan/scholarship. But college does provides scholarship to people scoring good percentile in CAT/XAT and coming from weaker economic backgrounds. The also have tie up with a couple of banks for loan assistance.

We had people from different states across India with a gender ratio of 60:40(M:F). TAPMI has great campus but there aren't any large playground areas. We have sports events, fests, competitions, festivals, parties conducted throughout the year on campus. Atharva is annual b school fest event and Speed is sports annual event.

Yes, hostels are mandatory for everyone. The hostel services are provided by an external bendor, Good Host Pvt Ltd. For the first year, girls hostel had double sharing rooms and in the second we had an option to move to another hostel with single occupancy rooms. The rooms are small in size but have all the basic amenities, study table, bed, chair, AC, cupboards, curtain, fan, lights. Regular cleaning and maintenance of rooms happens.

TAPMI has excellent alumni network. We get to connect with the alumni during Alumni interaction and Mentorship sessions organized in the college. Alumni portal is very useful for networking with people from diverse industries and also to access job postings.

I got admission through CAT score, GD and PI as a part of admission procedure. The admissions usually happens between Feb to March every year. The final shortlist is released in about 15-20 days. I opted for this course because TAPMI is one of the leading and oldest B schools for PGDM course and would give me good exposure and knowledge to the practices followed in the large organisations at a managerial level.

The faculties are par with tier 1 and 2 b schools. On an average, we attended 4-5 lectures per day. Most of the faculties are PhD and have also industrial experiences. There are just a step away to clear all your doubts. The lectures include case study, simulation, capstone project based learnings.
