Gangadhar Meher University is not only the best University in western odisha but also in odisha. There are many courses offered by the university for students. The Bsc.IST department is a professional department which gives you knowledge about software and hardware part of computer. The cons is that it has no on campus placements right now but has off campus placements where you can join tech giant companies like TCS, Wipro, Delloite, Infosys,Tech mahindra,Accenture, Capgemini etc. It's admission process is very simple just you have to go to official website of college and submit your full biodata and certificates. According to your percentage your merit list will come. There is no entrance exam for any course upto UG.Mostly admission process takes place in in the month of August. This is best college for study environment, hostel facilities and other cultural activities also.The best part of college is it conduct exams in proper time. I choosed Bsc.IST(information science and telecommunication) course. Because in this course i can learn the concepts of hardware and software part of computer. And it has good computer lab and electronics lab facility in college. Teacher are very helpful. And The college is situated in the middle of the city where you can get everything you need. After completing the course you'll get a software engineer job in companies like TCS Wipro Deloitte Infosys Accenture Capgemini etc. There are 8 teachers for different subjects in different semester and all are highly qualified. And the students capacity is 50 . Where teachers are easily handle everyone. They are very skillful and professionals in their field. And always helps students in studies. When it comes to exam our college is best in the state to conduct exams always on time. And the exams were not too difficult. It's just you have to study and learn everyday. You'll score good result in exams.

Yes, we do internship projects in our final year. We do off campus internship projects. We go to Bhubaneswar for our internship. Interface Software, Rayrc research and consulting, Norah technology are the companies under which we do our internship projects. We do projects on advance java, python with web, python with machine learning, PHP, IOT, Embedded system, #C etc. We have to do our projects under the guidance of highly skillful and professional teachers. And after completing our projects we get certificate from that company which helps us in our campus placements.

From 4th semester you'll eligible for campus placements. Companies that visits for campus are TCS, Wipro, Delloite, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, Tech mahindra and vedanta. The highest package for BSC students are upto 4 lakh per annum and average salary is 2.5 lakh per annum. 30-45 % students got placed every year in companies. My plan is to study MCA after completing my graduation.

As it is a professional course it has little bit high price than others. Annual fees of BSC.IST is 25000-30000. In last two years there is little bit of hike in fees is happened. You can get free Books from library. NSP, Prerana, Kusuma foundation are the scholarship you'll get here for every year. You'll go to attend campus placements in your final year. Tech companies like TCS, Wipro, Delloite, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, tech Mahindra and vedanta etc. you'll attend in your final year. Most of students get placed in these companies with good salary.

Unmesh is the annual tech fest which is organised by the university every year. Where they conduct dance, song, quiz, rangoli, drama, fashion show etc. And these compititions are very joyable and knowledgeable. These competitions are mostly conducted in the month of January and February. And also they conduct inter-college cricket tournament, badminton tournament, carrom, volleyball and chess etc. University has a big library where you can take books freely. It has large collection of good books of very renowned authors. You can get every kind of books from there. There are 200 classrooms are constructed in the university. Now a new lift has constructed and a new auditorium construction is work in progress. There are blood donation camps, NCC camps, and other camps are always held in the university campus.
