BEGINNING OF LIFE

I knew about university college of engineering Osmania University by our intermediate faculty.The reason for preferring this college is,it is one of the top University in the country and we'll recognised one.More over it is under control of Government and many top personalities are from university college of engineering Osmania University.The admission process for the college is through EAMCET entrance exam and the students with top Ranks will get admission in the college.The rank for general category student is below 3500 and for OBC students below 6000 for various branches of course offered by college.The entrance exam conducted in MAY and college will start in August.The good things of the college is the professors are well graduated and talented with phD from top IITs and the library facility of college is excellent and also good grounds for the students that helps in physical growth. The good thing is about the college is the seniors treat juniors as there brothers. No ragging.

As I was interested in construction field I choose civil engineering and the best college for civil engineering is University College of engineering , Osmania University.There will be around 300 students from 1st year to 4th year (total) each year consists of minimum 60 students.The department of civil engineering consists of good number of professor's with a faculty student ratio of 1:8 that is for every 8 students there will be one professor available .The professor's are well educated in the course and done there phD in top IITs and the selection process for the university goes through a UGC and through internal selection by college administration.The method of teaching was excellent.The concepts are well explained and doubts are cleared.The course civil engineering consists for 4 years with 8-sem,2-sems per academic year the 1st sem in the months of oct-nov and the 2nd sem inthe months of April-may . The exams difficult level is medium not so tough and can easily get through exams .

The professors help the students to get internship in various well known companies and stipend provided is based on performance of student during is inter period .As I am a civil engineering student the internships need to be found by us and professors also help in providing internship we should also need to find .The projects in internship are like case study of a ongoing dam or reservoir and construction of a bridge ,metro etc are internships provided and task is to like finding the forces that is analysing a beam column etc .

The students become eligible for campus placement from the beginning of final year that is fourth year / 7th sem and coaching or preparation for placement is provided by college in the 3rd year that is in the end of 5th sem to starting of 6th sem .The number of companies visit the college is around 50 and the 50% of students from final year are placed through the campus placement .The highest package is around 23 lpa and the average package is around 4 lpa.My plans after getting degree is to pursue mtech in Top IITs.

The fee structure for University College of engineering Osmania University is only 10000/- per year which is very less compare to other colleges and mess bill for hostelers is around 20000 for year including all room mess etc,which is all less compare to other colleges fees. The scholarship are ,MHRD,FFE, etc for merit students and there is separate administration to guide students for applying scholarships.The college rewards cash prize for meritorious students.There is separate placement cell that take care of students placement in various companies across the world.The students get internship offered by companies for their talent and get stipend offered by company for internship.Overall the opportunities for a student are great but the student need to utilise it.

The annual fest or tech fest is conducted in every year in the month of feb-march and it is entirely organised by students only with the help of professor's if any required and the students get the sponsorship from various companies that relate to course.So that the students get to know the situation around.The library facility for the college is excellent with a lot of books that required by the students and there is also central library available.The classrooms are spacious with cool breeze flowing in side room .The size of class room accommodation is for 120 members and only 60 students for such a spacious class .The University is well provided with a more than 5 grounds and swimming pool is also available inside the campus there will be sports and extra curricular activities/ competition are conducted and award are given. There a lot of club organised and managed by students like music club ,dance club, sports club,NSS ,NCC,startup club etc for development of students.

The facilities provided in the room are a coat, cupboard, a study table ,chair per student is provided in the room,water facility good condition of bathroom are provided .The meals provided is of good quality and health with every morning tiffin , different for every day of a week and non veg provide twice a week in the lunch.The registration for hostel will get once he got admission in college and need to satisfy the eligibility criteria for taking admission in clg that is he/she shouldn't be a residency near to college ,the student with residence area 50 km from college will get admission in hostel and the hostel fee is affordable and can be paid by Government if he is eligible for epass scholarship.

The admission for the college of engineering Osmania University through entrance exam EAMCET.The top rankers are eligible for the college.A very tough competition goes for the admission for various branches offered by college that is CSE ECE EEE CIVIL MECHANICAL BME are the courses offered and the students need to check for a previous year ranks that got admission.The preparation for these is to be done from intermediate and the questions are on the basis of intermediate syllabus.Cracking of exam with top ranking is by preparing well for the exam.The formulas should be well memorized and application knowledge should be also should develop for easy answering of questions in entrance exam.
