Remarks
I am from Madhaya Pradesh , and Sgsits is undoubtedly the best college in MP if we leave NIT and IIT , I atmosphere here is studious and campus is green. Teachers are helpful , if you behave and there are various clubs that helps to grace your skills.
Course Curriculum Overview
I didn't choose mechanical engineering , mechanical engineering chose me , the faculties here are highly educated and most of them have done their PhD from IITs. They are really helpful if you behave properly , specially mechanical engineering department faculties , they are really very knowledgeable. Exams are not that tough you can pass them studying before a night.
Internships Opportunities
Since I am in 2nd year so I can't tell much but college does provide internships in 4 th year I guess. I heard about a senior who got internship in Amazon worth stipend of about 75000.
Placement Experience
Since it's the no 1 college of MP the placement is quite good. Goldman sacs is the highest package giving company and for the department I am studying in Asian pants are the highest salary giving. You can expect an average placement of 4.5 lakhs
Fees and Financial Aid
I should admit that the fees is quite high considering its a government aided college. But there are various scholarships that help students. And most of them study on the scholarship basis only. So if you belong to a particular category or you are eligible to get medhavi scholarship then don't worry at all
Campus Life
Campus environment is pretty studios and seniors are really helpful. Every year a cultural fest is organised called as Ayam. We have various clubs that bring grace to your skills. Like Kshitij for poetry and pratibimb for photography and art stuff and also for poetry. NCC is there if you want to live the life of a soldier and TNP is there if you want to see what really happens inside the placement backstage.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is quite good , we have our personal computer library though it only has three computers and 2 of them don't work. Food is nice and eatable , it's more than what you can expect from a hostel. The menu is decided by the students themselves and they actually control the mess operation. We have a team of members who look into the mess stuff , and checks how food is cooked , whether it's neat or not. If any problem is found we can report it to warden and change out mess in-charge
