Based on all the admits I had, this was the best college as per Rankings. Factors I considered to select the college was Ranking, Placements, Student Activities, Extracurricular, Alumni relations, Campus Life, Faculty.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course Curriculum is very good and dynamic. Curriculum is reviewed every 4 years to stay relevant with industry with inputs from various industry experts, veterans, academician, etc. Faculties depends on branch to branch. Mechatronics being a young department had some of the youngest but great faculties. Mechanical profs and faculties are some of the best in the country. Computer Science faculties are average.
Placement Experience
Placements are the best for CS, IT, CCE branches with companies like Microsoft, Amazon being regular recruits. Good core technical opportunities for other branches but the placements are not at par with CS, IT, CCE Placements. More than 80-90 companies visited during my placement year. Alumni network is one of the strongest because college is more than 60 years old. Some of the Notable Alumni being Satya Nadella (CEO, Microsoft), Rajeev Suri(CEO, Nokia), Rajeev Chandrashekhar (MP, Rajyasabha and Entrepreneur),Banmali Agrawala (President, TATA Sons-Infra Defence Aerospace)
College Events
Campus life is very lively and vibrant. Due to huge intake, you will have enough friends and amazing campus life. There are more than 50 student run clubs and projects inclusing Student Satellite, Formula car, Robotics, Autonomous Car and many more.
Fees and Financial Aid
I was offered AICTE Scholarship based on my Family income. There are various other scholarships based on merit rank in Entrance exam, Konkani Scholarship for local students. Almost all major banks provide loan facility for MIT.
Campus Life
Campus has one of the best infrastructure in the country. The sports facility (Marena) has olympic standard sports facilities. All the hostels are eqipped with wi-fi. ISP is i-on, and students complain a lot with respect to speed and connectivity. There is no intranet available. The equipment in the labs are good and updated constantly. Various labs are in collaboration with industries.

There are multiple in-campus accommodation as well as off campus accommodation available. In-campus accommodation include following rooms 1. Tripple sharing room, common Bath Non AC 2. Double sharing common Bath Non AC. 3. Single room common Bath Non AC 4. Double sharing attached Bath Non AC 5. Single room attached Bath Non AC. 6. Double sharing attached Bath AC 7. Single room attached Bath AC.
