Best Time Of Life

Well, college is a place from where we learnt a lot of things, it was a place which made us introduce with our skills. College taught me what I am and what I need to do to to be what i can be in future. So, college even if it is clean or dirty, small or big, cheap or expensive, dull or happening, it is just like a temple to me. I really had a quality time of life and still miss my college life.

I took none of these enterance exams as it was not required.

Classrooms were not upto the standards. Way of teaching was upto the mark. Ambience was good but washrooms were too dirty and there was no canteen available.

Internship was for six months and I was offered Rs 2500 per month as a stipend.

Placement opportunities were available but were not satisfactory. Companies like IBM, HCL, HP, GENPACT, HEWITT and many more kept coming but most of them were hiring only for BPO'S or Call Centres. No one offered salary of more than Rs 11000.00 to 13000.00 per month. Majority of students tend to ignore the placement opportunities available.

Well, there were few moments in the year when college used to celebrate and organise events. Annual function use to occur in December every year.Other one was Youth festival, in which few different colleges of the city were motivated to take part enthusiastically, This used to held at the Guru Nanak Dev University campus. Third one was sports day, this used to be held in girls college campus and play ground. I never took part in any of them.

Fee structure was feasible as compared to the other colleges, it included both annual charges and monthly tution fees. Annual fee for B.com was somewhere around Rs. 30000.00 approximately.

Yes, after the first quarter, they review the performance of the candidate and we need to fill a form saying that we cannot afford the fees and we are seeking a fee concession. The principal after taking candidate's interview and reviewing his performance decides the amount of concession he wants to give. Some sports students playing for college also used to be a part of this.

Campus life according to me was average for a lot of people. There was less amount of girls as compared to boys. The ratio of boy to girl may be around 4:10. Labs were good and knowledge gaining. I was never a part of hostel parties and sports competitions.

I never stayed at hostel but it looked good from outside, I know nothing about mess food and rentals. But my friends use to say that its fun staying at the hostel and they never had any complaints.

My experience with seniors was good, there was less interaction between us.

Exams are held thrice a year September, December and April.It was always fun and learing and never too hectic.
