Remarks

The college has a very good infrastructure. A spacious auditorium. A very big play ground with volleyball court, badminton court etc. A canteen with extraordinary menu. Well experienced faculty members. Well developed hostel facility. Well connected transport network that connects various parts of the city to the college campus. This college also ranks in the top 20 in the state among around 500 colleges. It provides 100 percent scholarships to meritorius students in the state. Overall its a top notch college to start laying foundation of our career with.

Entrance Preview

I took TNPCEE Exam which was conducted by the TN Govt. I was passionate towards the Aeronautical Engineering course.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course was very interesting and kindling my creativity and to acquire more knowledge through learning. The faculty in the college were well experienced staffs. They were very helpful to all of us.

Internships Opportunities

I did not attend any internship. Only a few companies came for recruiting students in the campus. TCS and Infosys were the ones among them.

Placement Experience

5

As mentioned above TCS and Infosys came for campus recruitment. They offered around 300000 rupees as ctc. Around 100 people were placed in both the companies.

College Events

4

A technical symposium would be conducted every year and the theme would be different year. Students from colleges all over the state would come and participate in the event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible. The college charged the same fee as prescribed by the government. I was charged around 73000 in all which included my transportation cost too.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed scholarship from the college. The college provides cash awards to the winners of prizes at intercollege competitions with the same amount of cash what they have won outside. Govt scholarships were provided to all students below poverty line and with income less than 60000 per annum.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was wonderful. Extracurricular activities were awesome. The management used to take us to industrial visits or inplant visits atleast once in a month. The college life was always happening because of the various extra curricular activities, industrial visits, guest lectures, seminars and much more.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The mess food was good and they provided unlimited meals for the hostel students. Even for the day scholars the same food was provided at a nominal cost. Hostel rooms were very good but compact. Most of them were twin sharing type rooms. Since I was a day scholar I could not provide any more details about the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

We have a great network of alumni. We used to conduct get together once in a while. Since I belonged to the first batch of students in the Aeronautical Engineering department I did not have seniors to me.

Exam Structure

Exams were conducted in a phased manner with adequate holidays and they were of semester type. We had 8 semesters and the practical exams were conducted in the well equipped laboratories in the college which were consisting of all the required lab facilities.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
