The college is very good as BMM department has separate building in Colaba.

Entrance Preview

HSC I scored 85%. And it college has minority for Sindhi's. So I really got into this college. There was an interview if checking where I'm Sindhi or not

It was nice and have us the whole idea of the course. It have an overview of the course i opted for College also gives us more for all the subjects.

Internships Opportunities

I'm currently in first year so I don't know much about internship. But I'm sure we'll get nice internship after it first year, as I've seen my seniors doing internship at reputed places.

College Events

Blitzkrieg, which is an annual KCBMM great happening in the third week. Students from over 20 colleges of BMM department will participate. It's a 2 day fest with allot of activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees if appropriate according to the course. It is feasible as they provide us with good facilities. Therefore I don't find it much expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

They offer various scholarships to us but it is only for the students who score well. So we don't get any.

Campus Life

We've a separate studio as we're mass media students. KC is the only college having its own studio in Mumbai. Though we don't have a personal ground but we've sorts in our college.

Hostel Facilities

KC college first have need food. But there is a canteen which is really good. Ram Bhaiya gives us delicious food

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are great. They are really friendly and we live to chill with them. And also work for the events with them. There is no kind if raging by then in our college

Exam Structure

We've exam once in 4 months. Though it is chilled iut. The college gives us leave for preparing for exams.

Faculty

Faculty is really good. Helps us whenever needed.They also support us for participating in fests and we organize it own Blitzkrieg, the annual fest of Mass Media department of KC College

Placement Experience:

College for students who wanna Hustle

Course Curriculum Overview:

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate 6 out of 10 because the syllabus it has old information. The special aspect of the curriculum is about branding, strategy use to make strong brand in the market. The area for improvement in these curriculum is to provide student the proper software for technical or practical subjects. (like photoshop, indesign, etc.)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I want to be in the film industry. I want to become an actor. This course helps us to get aware of all the media industries. Be it films or television or even radio. Now, there are even more fields such as Public Relations and Event Management. There is an almost equal number of girls and boys. The faculty have industry experience and are well-spoken. They help us in each and every way possible. The use of presentations and modules is common. The learning process is fun and easy. The examinations are conducted in a semester pattern. There are a total of 6 semesters that are conducted on time. The syllabus covers a wide range of topics such as communication, films, photography, etc.

Placement Experience:

Form third year students become eligible for campus placement. Many reputed companies like times of India hindustan times visited our college and got various students selected based on their caliber. The average package here is a around 5-10 Lakh per annum. Only those students who are talented enough for any post get selected for particular job. I'm planning to do a internship in popular media House.

Remarks:

KJ Somaiya College is a very huge college and has a perfect system of everything. Proud to be a student of this college. They have extra curricular activities cultural forum fests and much more. They also have outdoor Games, athlete ground, hostels, 7 to 8 canteens. The teaching system is quite good they have compulsory 75% of attendance.

Life learning by the sea

I had applied for 3 colleges- Patkar college, Sophia and KC. I got selected in all three colleges but just because i wanted to experience travelling I decided to take KC.
