CMR Institute of Technology [CMRIT] Bangalore

After my 12th and kcet results,I started listing out colleges in Bangalore and CMRIT is the one college which my seniors suggested me to add into the list.I read few reviews about CMRIT in various websites to and got to know its A+ accredited by NAAC. Then after few procedures like kcet counseling, option entry etc,O was allotted CMRIT college in the first round, i then reported to the college after 2 days with fee challan of ?53000 to kcet,later i met few admission department staff who were kind enough to guide me to fill my details into their database, The good aspects of this college are its well experienced and updated teachers and their coaching,well equipped library,it is surrounded with tech companies etc The bad aspects are,if you are a day traveller you will find it hard to commute daily like my case. I preferred this college,because its located near to my home place and since its a reputed college i'm satisfied with the opportunities and exposure that cmrit can give its students

I chose CSE as it was of my interest and a hope that i could learn new stuffs and that Cse is a course which are offered more packages. Every semester a class of approximately 50-55 students are assigned a class teacher and also there's a separate mentor to guide you through out the course. The college consists of qualified lecturers who had done their PHDs,MSC setc. Teaching method differs from lecturer to lecturer,some teach through ppt presentation,some show teach practically in labs and some through blackboard,they provide us with good e-study materials to refer to. Exams were timely well and good always ,we had more time to do extracurricular activities such as doing mini projects every semester,Mooc courses etc as a part of placement training from the start of semester which is rarely seen in other colleges,.

The graph for placements is increasing year by year and 18 lakhs per annum has been the highest this semester. Placements in CSE and ISE are comparatively good with average package of 5 lakhs per annum followed by EEE and ECE, Civil and Mechanical lags the placement average but its scaling up every year. Additional training are provided for placements preparation which focus on 1.aptitude,2 technical,3.company specific. Tests are frequently conducted as a part of training to improve skills in coding, aptitude,soft skills etc. Mock interviews and mock GD's are also conducted so as to improve students soft skills before they appear for the actual interview

As i joined this college through kcet i pay 53000 rupees as kcet fee in addition with 30,000 rupees as college maintenance fee,.Fee structure is reasonable at Cmrit, whereas i have seen my friends paying 40,000 to 50,000 as college maintenance fee itself. And the fee also depends on your caste and quota through which you are alloted to CMRIT I receive scholarship of 20,000 rupees through college and Karnataka education Departments "EPASS". Regarding financial assistance ,few of my friends have paid the fee in installments,few get 0%interest educational loans

Campus is spacious enough,classrooms are equipped with fine tables and digital projectors.Labs are good too, We have Volleyball court,huge basketball courts,3 floored canteen,and decent sized ground to play football, cricket and games as such. Library has all the books of our needs and it's a peaceful place to study at,we can even browse websites in library. "Cultura" is the one annual fest of Cmrit,its an awesome fest to enjoy the time in participating in events such as tedx,dance,robofest, hackathons,mobile gaming,quiz on films,drama etc etc and even hosting them,.we get to see participants from other institutions showcasing their talents too. Popular guests are invited every year to Cultura Cmrit has college teams for various sports such as basketball,kabadi,volleyball,throwball etc .other institutions come and participate in tournaments organised by Our college too Social groups such as Women's club,Tedx etc and each dept have their own groups which actively organise events.
