Its Infrastructure, facilities, faculty and nice location are the dominating factors which force me to choose IISER Mohali to fulfill my dream. Parents and teacher advice and guidance was also there.
Course Curriculum Overview
Faculties are top notch and are highly qualified from top universities from the world. Many faculties have their postdoc and PhD from MIT, Stanford, Yale, University of CALIFORNIA ETC. Faculties are very good in helping, behavior and teaching.
Placement Experience
IISERs are not placements oriented college so it does'\t offer direct placements but some IISERs have started placement cell like IISER Bhopal but to establish a placement cell in IISER Mohali it will take some time as faculties doesn't support this idea
College Events
There are a lot of clubs where you can participate from music to dance to social activities and rediscover your lost interests, or if you have a good idea, you may start your own club. Your passion for science will always be maintained by all talks or seminars that are happening every day. You will meet people who will be willing to have a discussion about anything(ranging from Fermat's last theorem to particle accelerators to maybe which is the best anime :) even as late as 3 AM), which you may have missed in your school days.
Campus Life
IISER Mohali has a very large campus spread in 125 acre in Mohali, Punjab. A lot of wildlife is also there. According to some students from college they claim that there are more than 74 species of birds in the college. IISER M has 1 gym, equipped well enough + 2 Basketball Courts + 2 Lawn Tennis Courts + 3 Volleyball Courts + 2 Badminton Courts + A stadium with a big enough grass field for Football or cricket with Floodlights.
