My main reason to choose IISER Mohali was because my cousin was already studying there and one of my friend have cleared kvpy and he was going to take admission in IISER Mohali so I also choose IISERM and that's why I gave IAT exam and luckily get admission in IISERM.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Course Curriculum is very good and structured in a very nice way but the syllabus is too vast and semester time period is less so students find very difficult in completing the syllabus in that period of time. Teacher are highly efficient, all of them are from a great background.
Placement Experience
IISERs are not meant for placements and if you are going to iiser just for placement then it is the worst choice for you because IISER doesn't support placement after your 5 year degree. Students mainly go for phds.
College Events
There are regular talks, seminar and colloquiums in the campus. Faculties and researcher from other colleges, foreign universities visit there to give a talk on any scientific topic and students actively participate in those talks. Refreshment is also served there after seminars and talks which is also a great motivation for students to attend any talk or seminar.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I stay in hostel and it is compulsory to stay in hostel and also there is Co-ed hostels in the IISER Mohali means boys and girls have combined hostels and also common mess. There is pay and eat system in mess. For the first 2 years two students live together in single room and from 3rd year onwards they get separate single room. There is a health center in thy college.
