Remarks

As I wanted to purse PharmD, Indira college of pharmacy is one of the best college in Maharashtra for PharmD course. I opted PharmD as this course is new and a bit different from other courses. PharmD is a course which allows the pharmacist to work in clinical aspects in hospitals. The thing I like most about our college is the teachers and the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Our course syllabus is well updated. As I have just completed my first year, we didn't have and industrial exposure. But our seniors are taken to the hospital for clinical practice and clerkship. As per my knowledge the clinical practice starts from 3rd year.

Class Size: 34Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Placement Experience

I have just completed my first year. So I don't have any idea. And for my course ( pharmD) as it is a six year course and our college has introduced this course just 5 years back. There are no PharmD passouts. So can't say about placements.

College Events

I have completed my 1st year. The one year I spent in the college was the best. Our college doesn't conduct much cultural festivals. Ganesh chaturthi is celebrated in our college every year. I have participated in each and every cultural program and I enjoyed a lot.

Campus Life

Our college campus is very big and the infrastructure is also good. We have got sports room and our college supports the students who are interested in sports. The library is well equipped with books. But the practical lab need to get more apparatus.

Hostel Facilities

There are 3 hostel. According to the fees of the hostel the facilities differ. But the mess is same for all the hostels. The food provided is very good and the provide variety food everyday. We get nonveg alternate days.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.

AS FOR PLACEMENT , TNP TRIES REALLY HARD TO GET STUDENT PLACED. MULTIPLE COMPANY VISIT THE CAMPUS. NAMELY INFOSYS, ACCENTURE, COGNIZANT, TCS, CAPEGEMINI, AMDOCS, HCL, TECH MAHINDRA, ETC MULTUPLE APTITUDE ASSESMENT AND CODING ASSESMENT ARE CONDUCTED BY COMPANIES. MANY STUDENT GET PLACED AT AVERAGE OF 4.5 . OFFER ARE LIKE 3LPA, 3,5LPA.4,5LPA, 7LPA, MAX 9LPA OR THIS YEAR BUT STILL IN MY OPNION STUDENT ARE NOT PUTTING ENOUGH EFFORT IN THEIR PLACEMENT DRIVES AND HAVE VERY CASUAL ATTITUDE. SO PERCENTAGE IS AROUND 40% AND I'LL NOT BLAME COLLEGE FOR THIS PERCENTAGE ATLEAST NOT TNP, CUZ FOR SOME REASON STUDENT ARE CLEARING FAILING HERE AS FOR ME I'M PLANNING FOR FURTHER STUDIES

The college is excellent because there are numerous facilities available such as experienced staff members and a wide range of instruments such as HPLC, HPTLC, UV, IR, and others. the college has good infrastructure, including a large library with nearly 6000 books and a campus with WI-FI .there are three research labs for PG students, and the college has its own licensed animal house. In addition, the teaching staff has a Ph.D.

I wanted this college so no question arose of me pursuading other clgs. admission process is mainly based on the percentile marking of MHCET examination. higher percentiles get a higher chance of acceptance in the first 3 rounds. management is another option available as well. i applied to other colleges like DY patil, Poona college of pharmacy as well, got none confirmed admission form, unlike Indira where i got complete worth for money package. MHCET exam landed me to kasturi shiksan sanstha college of pharmacy shikrapur , froze the admission but later cancelled due to personal reasons. CET mainly is the exam used to cross eligibility for this course. cutoff in 2023 was 93.4 percentile and above. CET exam is most preferred by students. many other colleges also tend to recruit students through neet scores as well....Read More
