Rudransh Tripathi's Review On Galgotias College Of Engineering And Technology - [GCET], Greater Noida

After I attempted my JEE exam I wasn't certain that I would be landing up in any of the IIT's and NIT's. I got some good government colleges but they were not providing me the Computer Science Branch which I wanted. So I sat in the UPSEE exam. I belong to Uttar Pradesh so I was eligible writing the exam. I secured a decent rank and I ended up getting Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, Greater Noida. There were some other choices but I opted for this college because the placement records of this college is outstanding. Our college stands at Number 19 in India with respect to Private College's Ranking conducted by India Today Network, in terms of Placement. The faculty is well experienced and are very supportive. The biggest attraction for me was the Student Council of G.C.E.T. under which there are about 18 Clubs which seeks to enhance and provide a platform for students to showcase their skills on a regular basis. Apart from the various club events which happen monthly, the Council along with the Student Council of Galgotias University conducts an annual fest for the students named Unifest, which is the 3rd biggest fest of the Delhi-NCR region. The campus is big and the classes are well ventilated. The college life is amazing and the hostel facilities are great as well. There are some food joints inside the campus which provide fresh food items on a subsidized rate. All an all I found this college would help me and my skills grow. That was the reason which made me choose this College.

All the teachers here are well qualified and knowledgeable. They all are very helpful, and overall teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is good, and it's regularly updated as it is affiliated to AKTU. The course curriculum is very good. The overall approach of the curriculum and teachers is to make students industry-ready so that they can perform exceptionally well in the real world.

Placements here are pretty good. Almost all the students in CS and IT branches get placed. The highest salary package offered is around 12-15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA. Top recruiters here are TCS, Wipro, Bharti Airtel, Infosys. In our course, i.e., B.Tech in CS, you will get to learn about programming and all that usual stuff, but the plus points here are that various workshops, seminars are organised for the complete development and learning of students. Getting internships is not a difficult task here as its NCR region, and you will get plenty of opportunities. Non IT companies also come for the recruitment and they also give good average package. The highest package has been provided by Samsung and Amazon.

The campus life of my college is surely amongst the best reasons why one should join it. It has a big, spacious campus with a lot of greenery spread. The crowd is good as most of them have qualified an exam to be here and they are usually very friendly. Talking of extracurricular activities, the College has a separate club for every branch where in the teachers along with students come together and organise various events almost every month and throughout the year. Apart from this we have a Student Council of Galgotias College who has about 18 Clubs underneath it. There are clubs for every skill and talent one could have and they provide you the platform to showcase your talent on a big level not only in our campus but also in various places. Each club conducts its own event every now and then and there's a great exposure for every student to perform and make his name renowned in the College. The seniors take care of every fresher as their own family member and the whole environment is great. We have an annual College fest with the name of Galgotias Unifest where in the student councils of both Galgotias College and Galgotias University come together and work and conduct this 2 day event which is amongst the top 3 college fest in Delhi-NCR. Apart from this, there are several brands which come over to promote themselves by distributing their merchandise and products for free.
