Tridib Biswas's Review On Techno India University, Kolkata

So I wanted to study at Kolkata and Techno India Group is a big player in the educational domain focused on West Bengal so this was a pretty decent option for an undergraduate study, The college is situated in the heart of kolkata, salt lake city and if we study well there's ample opportunities for us. I think I've made a wise decision.

Well according to me the course curriculum is just fine but the industry exposure is very limited and the classes are mostly theoretical lacking the real life experiences. The faculty in school of management was decent 2 out of 5 were having a PHD and they were well versed with the subject but I do think they should try implementing more practical learning approach for the next classes.

Like I mentioned I'm in my second year of college and due to the covid-19 outbreak everything is in a questionable state right now and we do have Internship opportunities provided from college but they're very average, I've done a marketing internship and some virtual internship and campaign ambassador program.

Okay so the placement is something even I'm curious about but let's be practical doing a undergraduate study won't land you in a dream job with a great package and as I'm in my second year of study I have limited knowledge about the placement situation but my seniors said the placement are decent companies like TCS, Byjus, Paytm, Deloitte, to name a few visit our campus for recruitment. Mostly the job offered are in the marketing domain and roles like management trainee are offered to name a few. The placement process is a mixed bag and the placement team should start working for the sake of their students, the alumni network is very weak and most of them opt for higher studies.

The campus life was very average like mentioned earlier we've a building and not much of space but our main campus have a field and some space but that is average too, I think it's high time for the college authority to invest something in the college infrastructure, talking about extracurricular activities it's pretty limited and we have some fest and clubs that are not worth mentioning.

There's no scholarship or something like that if you've scored exceptionally well you might get some discount but the scholarship thing is very vague and not clear.

The school of management is basically a 10 floor building and we've no campus life at all so the engagement between the students are very limited and restricted the classes are well equipped with decent sitting arrangements and all classes are air conditioned and we have all the technical aids like projectors and speakers, talking about lab my subject is more inclined towards theories so not much of lab work is required but we don't have a proper lab and library in this building. Yes we've wifi too.

There's no hostel facilities in Techno India University Kolkata either you've to stay in pg or rent a flat with your friends. This is really sad because a hostel unites students and help to engage more in productive tasks.
