Remarks

Pros: -Good reputation for placement among IPU colleges -Amazing location of the campus (easy access to all amenities) -Very friendly teachers -Some societies function very well. Cons: -School like environment (substitute teachers take classes if a subject teacher is on leave) -Very less to No encouragement for sports, despite availability of all grounds I opted for MSIT mainly due to its reputation for placements and the location advantage. It would be a definite recommendation if someone wants to get into IP University. You get exposure to build your non-tech skills by being a part of the various societies and teams that exist.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The faculty to student ratio is fair enough. The teachers are extremely cordial and always ready to help with all sorts of doubts. They put in their best effort to keep students in loop about everything that is going on in the college with respect to the curriculum and encourage a lot to learn. The curriculum of the course is as specified by IPU and the books are provided by the college itself, from the Book Bank. Some other references are also available in the library and even teachers make available all types of notes and study material to all. The exams are conducted as prescribed by the University. The teachers review them well and also advise on how to correct the mistakes.

Placement Experience

4

The placements commence at the early stages of 7th semester only (August-September). The highest package offered on campus is about 12-14 LPA and the lowest can be about 2.5-3 LPA. The average placement package is about 4-5LPA. Most companies are IT companies and job profile is usually Software development. If you're into coding and software development, you will get great placement opportunities. The companies that usually visit the campus are iON trading, ZS Associates, Infosys, Accenture, HSBC, Bravura, Musigma, Libsys, Polestar etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The placement is good enough (as compared to colleges under IPU). TPO (The Placement Office) is effective and also puts their maximum effort to bring as many companies as possible. There are numerous opportunities in the IT sector but limited core ECE and EEE companies come to the campus. The fees however, I feel is a little high. It approximately costs about 4.3 lakh for four years (you just pay this to the institute; it does not include your travel expense and food expense), and for people who are coming from outside Delhi, the living expenses are added too.

Campus Life

3.5

People are super interactive. My personal experience was amazing for the whole four year duration. Your seniors will be there to guide and you at all times, because this is what we learn from our seniors every year. There are both technical and non-technical societies running in the college and getting into them will only improve your personality. A fair number of books are there in the library. However, the copies of each good book are limited (only 2-3). Classrooms can be a little more well maintained. The fans are a bit slow and makes it unbearable during summers. The classrooms at the top floor are accommodated with ACs, which hardly work. The seating capacity however is good. 60-70 students are easily accommodated in each classroom. There are playing grounds for sports like football, volleyball and badminton. There is absolutely no encouragement to play them, except at the annual university sports meet.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
