Quality education at economical fee.

Prestige Institute of Management is very fortunate to have Honorable Dr. Sher Singh Bhakar as its Director. Having their directorship institute has been successfully achieving its short term and long term goals. In conclusion, I would like to thank my college for their developing my personality while pursuing BCA. I wish luck to new comers and the institute.

Any entrance test wasnﾒt required to take admission there that time. I secured my admission obtaining 70% marks in a personal interview taken by a team of faculties Prof.

The course curriculum laid down by Jiwaji University, Gwalior was almost up to date and well structured as we learned Linux, Computer Graphics, Data structure, Oracle 8i, Java, E-commerce, Active Server Pages like subjects in our curriculum.On the flip side we learned Database Management in Fox-Pro, and Disk Operating System which subjects were obsolete.

Lots of companies came those were Wipro-Infotech, Infosys BPO, iGATE Patni, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM Global Services etc. Each companies offered different stipend. Minimum 1.2 Lakhs to Maximum 5 Lakhs. IBM and iGATE Patni offerd the highest stipend to us.

Around 70% students were placed. 40% students were placed in TCS, 20% students in Wipro-Infotech, and around 10% in IBM Global Services. TCS, IBM Global Services and Wipro-Infotech offered final placements. TCS and Wipro-Infotech offered around 2 lakhs whereas IBM Global Services offered package of 5 Lakh.

The college frequently organized various technical, cultural, and management events and competition some of those are:Kriti ﾖ National Software Testing and Debugging Contest in which college invited students from all over the country to participate in this contest at a minimal cost of Rs 60/- College offered attractive prizes to winner and runner up. Winner won prize of Rs 5,000/- whereas runner up won Rs 2,000/-Spandan ﾖ This was the biggest 3 days annual festival that conducted events like Mimicry, Debate, Singing, Dancing(Solo, couple, and group), Acting, Painting, Just a minute, Ad-mad show, Art & Craft Exhibition and many more.College also organized National and International Seminars on topics like emerging trends in information technology etc.

I had taken admission in 2009 and that time fee was Rs 31,500/- (no hidden charges) per year except University examination fee which was feasible as Madhya Pradesh is know for its providing cost effective and quality education in India.

College used to offer concession in college fee to 1st topper. No scholarship was offered by college but it were offered by Government fron which the student belong, those scholarship were offered to students who belong to OBC or SC/ST categeory. Some banks like SBI, PNB and Canara Bank came to college campus and opened saving account of new students. They also offered education loans to students in need.

Journey of campus life began with Induction ceremony followed by 9 days workshop on basic technical & communication skill, commencement of regular academics, The best thing of college life was anti-raging committee had been keeping an eye on seniors to ensure no senior could take any chance to do ragging as ragging was strictly prohibited. However some ill-minded seniors attempted to do ragging in hostel and they succeeded ragging up to an extent because the hostel warden overlooked their ill behavior.

I lived in college hostel in first year which was distant about 1KM away from the college. Rooms were well furnished, modern, floors was marbled. Each rooms had attached bathroom each bathroom with electronic geyser within it. Quality of mess food was so-so each morning it served different beakfast like, Bread Sandwitch, Paratha Pickle, Aaloo Paratha, Poha etc. At 8 am. Every evening it served tea or milk according to the choice of student. The college bus used to come daily to pick up students from hostel to college at 8:30 am.

Despite seniors were starved for respectful salutation Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening three time in a day from juniors they were coordinating, they had been guiding me throughout the course. They helped me doing assignments, home works, programming, presentations. They also offered their notes and books to juniors. College maintains an alumni network.

About internal examinations, college used to take 4 internal tests of each subject out of which 3 tests were compulsory and 4th internal was for those student who couldnﾒt even secure at least passing marks. If student didnﾒt pass in 4th internal assessment s/he has to submit assignment. Every student had to deliver one class presentation of each subject and one seminar presentation or Group discussion. Exams and labs were a bit frequent that used to leave us with a hectic day beside College had a modern canteen that serves quality breakfast like Aaloo Paratha, Pav Bhaji etc, and lunch at economical price moreover it also offers ice creams, cold drinks where students could chilled out after their college hours.

Faculties of my college are well trained, qualified and knowledgeable. They are always happy to help weak students in their assignments.
