One important factor that made me choose St.Joseph's is placements. After completion of four years course each and every student will have a job. Placement trainings will be given to students from the first semester itself. Each and every semester training will be conducted,so that students can improve themselves before facing their interviews. There are also many students who wish to do their higher studies in other countries, for those students our college has Advisory Beureu for Higher Studies ( ABHS ) which helps students in their competitive exams, recommendation letters and many more. The department has advanced lab features will internet connection to all the PC's which will be really helpful for the students during their project. The IEEE and OSA teams of our college offer many seminars and courses for the students. Bus facilities and food will also be provided to all the dayscholar students.

Basically we need to study about 9 subjects per semester (including lab), students will be taught all the subjects and taken to labs. Model exams and model labs will be conducted by the college which will help them to perform better in their semester. Based on these exams internal marks will be provided. Each and every semester students will have industrial visits provided with a certification and the students are required to take internships in their semester holidays The faculties in our college are very friendly, we can consult them whenever we have doubts regarding coursework and project works.

During the Final semester students will attend placements. The students can attend any number of companies and can get placed in any number of companies. So the students can choose the best from their offer letters. Placement trainings will be given each semester and the students will be instructed to take these trainings seriously. Additional trainings for the programming languages will also be conducted. During the final semester, one month complete training will be provided to improve their skills, so that the students can attend their interviews with confidence.

Symposiums will be conducted in the odd semester where the students can organize the events. College day, culturals and teachers day will be conducted each year for which the best performer will be awarded with a cash prize. The members of the OSA and IEEE will also organize during symposiums. Every Saturdays, students have other extracurricular activities other than academics. They will be taken to NGO's each semester along with their class.

Oru college is well known for its sports. The team encourage the sports students to participate in zonals by providing them the trainings required. The sports day is conducted each year for the students separately. We have both book bank and library cards provided during the first semester itself. Students can take any books required for the course or books for their competitive exams. The equipments in our lab are the latest versions with all the equipments in good working conditions. Students will be taught how to handle all the equipments by the staff faculties.
