Thus was born PSG College of Arts and Science in the year 1947 to the PSG & Sonsﾒ Charities Trust which was founded in the year 1926 by the four praise-worthy sons of Sri. P.S. Govindasamy Naidu. The four brothers of the PSG family took ﾓCharity through Educationﾔ with great missionary zeal. The college was identified as a college with Potential for Excellence by UGC in October 2004. It was one among 47 colleges in the country, 8 in the State and only one in Bharathiar University area. The Progress & success of an Educational Institution can be reached by the effort and performance of students and efficient faculty intellectual inputs and the management support. And this is achieved in the college which all the students who passed out agree with.

After completing B.Sc. Electronics, i did'nt attend any particular entrance to get admission for M.Sc PSG college of arts and science is a reputed college and thus opted without choice.

Fee structure for different courses are different . It is feasible. As the college is one of the reputed ones in India, getting a chance to study in the college is considered more important than the feasibility of the fees. In that sense it cant be considered expensive.

I am not aware of the loans and scholarships but the trust offers concession in the fee for the students with high score in their qualifying exam.

The thrust of academic learning and living experience on the campus is to cultivate a confidence for entrepreneurship. tudents are expected to attend the College neatly dressed keeping with the approved etiquette.Women students shall attend the college wearing sarees or in traditional Salwar Kameez. They shall not come to the college inany other dress. Students should bring their I.D. Cards everyday. I.D. CARDS SHOULD BE PRODUCED WHEN DEMANDED.Any requisition or letter written by the student to the Principal should be sent through the HOD / Class Teacher. In case of cancellation of a class, students shall be in the library. Students should not sit on the parapet walls or on the steps or staircases. Students are not permitted to take their lunch in the class rooms.Students are forbidden from writing, scribbling, or painting on the walls, desks, etc., Students found guilty of damaging, destroying college property should replace the same at their own cost.Smoking is prohibited inside the Campus. Eve-teasers will be dismissed from the college. R agging is an offence. Any student found guilty of ragging will be dismissed from the college. Students found using drugs or liquour will be dismissed from the college. Students should refrain from participating in political or communal activities. Students found guilty of using foul language or behaving rudely towards the staff members, will be expelled from the college. Students must identify those who cause damage to the college property and report the same to the PRINCIPAL. The extra curricular activities and sports were all conducted in a healthy way.

Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. The rooms and infrastructure in the hostel are well maintained the students log in and out registers are well kept and students are bound to follow the rules strictly mess and the food are neat and menu is well designed by the students mess committee which ensures the tasty and neat preparation.

The founder President of the PSG Arts Alumni Association Mr. Mahendra Ramdass and his team took effort to rejuvenate and enhance the reputation of PSG Arts Alumni Association. With the strong support by the PSG Management and involvement of Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members of the Alumni Association, various activities are carrying throughout the year to strengthen the relationship with alumni of PSG CAS. The regular activities of Alumni Association are managed by a set of Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members headed by the President, the overall directive and policies are decided by an executive council. The executive council meets once in three months. The PSG Arts Alumni chapters located at Ooty and Chennai have been carried out their regular activities organized at their respective areas. The important event that reflects the strong binding of the alumni with PSG CAS is the Curry Masala- a food festival cum cultural performance and a fashion show.

All Comprehensive Examinations (Theory and Practical) shall be conducted twice a year, in November/December and in April/May. All failed candidates shall be governed by the regulations and syllabus in force at the time of their subsequent appearances. Students having a minimum of 75% of attendance in the practical classes alone will be eligible to submit their record note books and appear for both the CA and CE Practical Examinations. Students shall be permitted to appear for the Practical Examinations only with the submission of bonafide records.

The college has a team of experienced and efficient faculty most of them are Ph.D holders. and the senior faculties are all professors with so may years of experience.
