Ranking-the pu is ranked top university amongst India's top colleges also uiet chandigarh got 74th rank in nirf ranking this year,prestigious college in the region,Academic Achievements only top 10% rankers of jee mains get admission in college, popularity the institute is largest department of PANJAB UNIVERSITY chandigarh,location the institute is situated in center of chandigarh and inside the beautiful campus and Placements the placement records are increasing year by year.

Curriculum is matched with iits. Follows the old procedures i.e. not updated as much new. The syllabus is of moderate difficultly and also have practical labs for each practical subjects. The collegs provides the industrial experience at the end of 2nd year. And Placements at the end of 3rd year. The faculty is highly qualified most of the professors have phd degree from prestigious institute like iits. But some of the faculty members is not UPTO the mark we have to cope with them.

I have not opted for the internship but i am searching for it.

Big compnies visits the college every year like amazon,deloiite,zs scaler etc. Previous year the highest package is gone of 41 laks by Microsoft for the two students. And amazon had also offered 31 lak package to two students.Tarun khullar also bagged job in google. Alumni network is well established we have separate Club for alumni relations which is STAR. which deals with all these alumni relations.

Uiet has its own cultural fest goonj which is held every year. Its a big fest and also acquire big sponsors.Also small events kept on going besides. Rest the university council helds big events by the year.Anyone student from the university can participate in the events. Also the department has various clubs like programming club entrepreneur club, dance clubs, bhangra clubs like MITRA OSIUM etc. Means you have fulk exposure in the field which you want to go.

The university have national scholarship availabled and also havs scholarships for weaker section and branch toppers.

Infrastructure of college is based on old buildings but its somewhat good. Sports facilities are at top notch level university have special own different grounds for each sports activities like volleyball football shooting etc. Tge university had also won prestigious MAKA trophy this year also.and facilities are UPTO the mark like watercoolers, elevator etc.wifi speed is moderate and is available inside the campus.the department has its own library and university also has A.C. joshi library where we can go any tine. Equipments are also well Acquired.

There are 8 boys hostels and 10 girls hostels including international hostel. the fee is just 2k per month.The hostel facilities are good and bad also the same levels.every hostel has 5-10 caretakers,sweepers. Who do cleaning every day in morning but students do not cope with keep hostel clean. Which makes the hostel dirty.
