Suraj's Review On R V College Of Engineering - [RVCE], Bangalore

RV is the best college it has everything in it not only fun but good education system and gives an opportunity for each and every one to express and show their talent.

There are multiple ways to get admission into college and since i had done diploma so i took DCet conducts by Technical board, Karnataka. My score was 3000. The reason i chose this college is very clear this is one of the best college in State.

RV believes in outcome based education all its departments course is crafted according to the need of modern technology and system all its syllabus taken from Industrial expert's opinion and current and future scope.

There are many companies like GE, GOOGLE, NATIONAL instruments, CISCO, TVS and many good companies visits college to provide internship during summer vacation and also provide attractive stipend and opportunity get hired directly through internship. Stipend is around 5k to 25k.

Placements is the main thing which distinguishes RV from other colleges. There is always 100% placements in many branches mainly Circuit branches. More than 300 companies visits every year and recruits More than 1000 students. Average salary for Mech, IEM, BT and Civil is around 4 to 5 lpa and For Circuit branches its aroung 5.5 to 6.5 lpa.

There are many events happens every year every branch has their own events organised by their own, ex Civil has Concrete fest where IEM has Synergy main event is 8th mile which is celebrated every year during feb and march which goes on for 5 days. There are many teams such as RV debate team, QUIZCORP, 8th mile core team and many more. Any college student can participate during the fest but with valid id proof.

College fees structure is feasible and common compared to other colleges situated in the city. CET students fees is around 50000 and COMEDK fees is 160000 where as to get seat through management is quite impossible for middle class people.

College does provide scholarship for economically backward students under certain schemes but doesn't provides any loan.

College life is full of fun but depends on u college is overwhelmed with extracurricular activities such as dancing, singing, Technical clubs and many others around 100 there are competitions like dancing, singing, debate and inter department sports.

RV has 4 boys hostel inside the campus KAVERI, DJ, SIR M.V and provides accommodation for more than 2000 students. 1 more hostel is located at jaynagar and Girls hostel too. Hostel rooms are sharing based 2 or 3 in room hostel fees including mess costs around 65000 there are many PG's and apartmnets costs from 4000 monthly and increases according to the facilities been provided.

College has some very known alumnae like Anil Kumble, Asha Bhat and etc college has an alumni database where any Student can access and contact college alumni seeking help or guidance.

RV is an autonomous college has its own exam structure every semester comprises of 3 CIE ( continuous internal evaluation) for 100 marks ( avg. and best of 2) and SEE ( Semester End Exam) for 100 exams are very strict and have to be attentive else u'll be pushed to take exams in fast track.

College has huge number of teachers with a ratio of 1 per 10 most teachers are highly qualified and having doctorate. There is always a good relationship between students and Faculties.
