Vikas Panwaar's Review On Ravenshaw University - [RU], Cuttack

Our university is one of the oldest and famous university in Odisha, despite so many shortcomings though the faculty is not adequate the college is one of the superior college and students from different states always eager and stand in a queue to take Admission in it my college life is awesome and its buildings and premises adds life to it one can easily falls in love with this college by its outlook students wants a carrier which consist not only on studies but also on extra curricular activities should definitely advised to join this college management rating will be 5/10.

I have given no entrance exam because the college accept Direct admission to the B.Com course however the merit list is prepared by the marks obtained by the student in intermediate level admission process is so simple, one have to verify his/her documents in order to take admission.

The courses are well designed to enhance the knowledge of the commerce graduate student elective courses are business management, Business mathematics, business environment and about small scale industries and other compulsory and honors subjects are also there in total of 3year of time duration.

Formally there is no internship program for B.Com students available in this university hence no stipend.

This is the only non technical institution in odisha which gives employment opportunity to its graduates most of all BPO kind of companies comes to this campus companies offered jobs (2015), Genpact, Wipro, TCS, ICICI bank, Cognizent, L&T, Package generally every company offers 1 to 1.3 lakh per annunm and location are across India. My rating for the Campus placement is 7/10. Cons of the Campus placement are normally every company comes here is BPO kind of company.

The college celebrates every kind of festivals for the interests of its various of students technical fests tech-ino fest is celebrated once in a year in which students gets a chance to formulate their innovative ideas to make different products at cheaper price and using Natural resources cultural fests- Different pujas and festivals celebrated at each and every Departments. National festivals also celebrated nicely. Annual functions and other cultural events celebrated and coordinated by different Heads.There is a huge gathering in every festivals with huge number of students participating in it. Normally the Annual function is celebrated at a large with well-known Guests invited.

Normally the fee structure is simple and affordable for SC/ST students, scholar students and BPL students 1250 approx for Self-financing students l'l costlier i.e 10,000 to 15,000 per year semster fees are 250 and all other expanses are also affordable.

Scholarship are given by the governmental schemes to the needy however the university offers no independent scholarships the university is having its campus inter linked Banks SBI, AXIS but no i have no idea of any Loans offered or not.

Gender ratios are 7:10. there are different groups of students study here of different religion, caste and creed but there is always equality in the diversity. Girls got a safety environment and feels secure here the college having no compulsory uniform mandatory for the students college elections are held once in each year and different political groups are formed during the elections but everyone cooperate with each other different sports and athletics meet are celebrated in each year the cultural society secretary is responsible for all the cultural events taking place in the campus, overall the campus life is outstanding and memorable my ratings for the campus environment is 7/10.

Hostel are facilitated to the students coming from Distance places there are totally 10 hostels of which 4 for Girls and 6 for Boys and more are under constructing each and every hostels are of 250 no of Beds available hostel are given strictly on the merit basis and students who does not get any hostel are accommodated on their own hostel rents are as below.

Recently silver jubilee of the alumni meet has observed but i dont have any idea regarding the alumni network in the college but one can interact with the seniors through the social media sites like Facebook and twitter the seniors are very cooperative and helping in nature.

There is examinations conducted for every semester, Twice a year 50 Marks of each semester which is of 2 hours (40 +10) Written + Assignment. As the exams are very shorts in time and twice a year so no hard feelings for the exam students chills and relaxed.

The faculty in this college are well trained and fully experienced they are friendly and fully cooperative but the thing here is lack of adequate faculty my Rating for faculty and their standard is 6/10.
