Jasmeet's Review On Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College - [GGDSD], Chandigarh

It's one of the top colleges in Chandigarh. It has NAAC "A+" grade. They way the teachers of this college teach is really easy to understand and they pay attention to everyone. Teachers explain each and everything in class and they're really helpful. Even if you email them regarding a query, they reply almost quickly. Sometimes, their reply takes time but they do surely reply. This college has a lot of activities like Tedex, SD Rotaract, etc. Tedex is really interesting here. I've attended two sessions of it and they're all great. The environment in my college is friendly and helpful. You won't find anyone misbehaving here. Everyone respects each other.

I'm doing Bcom-1 course. It's syllabus was already updated and we checked it out on the first day of the first semester. Our teachers discussed about our syllabus with us on the first day only. They told us about the exam pattern, for how many marks some questions will come. They guided us on how to cope up with the syllabus. They told us to their teaching methods and how many assignments they'll be giving us each month. In short, they prepared us for the academic life in college. In my opinion, our accountancy teacher, harsimran mam is really good. She taught us everything from the scratch, even the chapters we have done in high school. She takes all our queries patiently and is really helpful.

I have done online internship in Aashman Foundation and I'm official Campus Ambassador at International MUN but it's also online internship.

Amazon, HCP, Intel, Infosys, Dell and many other such companies have visited our college for selecting interns. Almost, 80% of the students of our college got placed in different companies.

College hasn't started physically yet so I haven't visited the campus. But online activities and sessions like Tedex sessions and seminars held by SD Rotaract are still going on. We get to know a lot in these sessions. Various known speakers speak on such platforms. On whole, it's a really great event. But our teachers told us that usually they hold orientation programs for first year students and many other functions.

We haven't gone to college physical yet. But I have seen the College from outside as I live in Chandigarh only. I can tell the campus area is vast. The College building is huge. I have heard from my friends who went there that the classrooms are also really spacious. I have no clue about the library and labs as I haven't visited personally there.

I haven't opted for hostel. I live in Chandigarh so I haven't opted for hostel facility. My house is near the College so there was no need for me to opt for a hostel facility. As because of this, I cannot tell about hostel rooms and their rents or how much facilities are being provided to the students staying in hostel.
