Pavani Lanka's Review On SIES Graduate School Of Technology - [SIES-GST], Navi Mumbai

Among all of the colleges in which I was able to take admission, I heard from my seniors that SIES had good campus and placements. I had heard that SIES had a good faculty and teachers are friendly and they help students whenever they need them. SIES fests are too popular so it lead me to it.

I had opted for Information Technology (IT), and this was the branch of my choice. The faculties which we are provided for our department are good. And the infrastructure provided to us is good and our campus is also good, especially the cafeteria. They way our faculty teaches us is interactive. Initially I was scared of mechanics because of the hype which was created for this particular subject. But I was lucky enough that we were taught by Siddique sir(Faculty of mechanics) who had helped our class to understand all the concepts very easily.

Our college invites many leading corporate companies and it has a placement cell which helps us to prepare for these jobs beforehand. The placement cell helps us deal with all the nervousness and anxiety which we face during the placements. It helps us to build our communication skills as communication is the key for everything, and most importantly our college conducts lost of techie workshops which help us learn trending languages and conducts lots of coding contests. So these certified workshops help us build our resume and knowledge, which are most important to crack a job. Our college has a counseling cell also which helps students decide whether they want to pursue higher education or want to do a job. Our college provides 100 percent placements for those who want to go in corporates.

Every year SIES holds two fests, one in each semester. The first being the technical fest and the second cultural fest. As I am in First Year, we had an advantage that only for first years there were lots af activities and games to participate. To encourage us seniors put lot of efforts inorder to be creative and bring unique games every year. Apart from acads there are many Student Councils which helps to learn and showcase our talents.
