Andhra medical college review

Ranked as a top medical college in Andhra Pradesh. The best thing about the college was the hospital KGH huge patient load so that practical experience will be good. One needs to get a rank below 250 for the open category for a seat in the college. College is preferred over other colleges on basis of its hospital. Theory classes will be as usual as any medical college.

A class will be for 200 students. Recently they are dividing into 2 batches of 100. There is nothing specific about faculty: student ratio. Doctors will be taking classes. All 4 years of theory classes will be taken regularly in the afternoon sessions expect the first year. Clinical and ward rounds will be started from 2nd year. Semester examination pattern every 6 months will be conducted as usual.

The internship will be in KGH hospital. One year of compulsory internship. 20k stipend will be paid. One can also work in private hospitals once you finish the internship.

After you complete internship. You'll be preparing for the next pg entrance. One can also work as duty doctors in private hospitals for a good amount.

As the seat allotment is free and the allotment is merit wise. There will be no admission fee. 10k-20k will be examination fee and another fee per year. As an intern, the stipend will be around 20k.

Sports ground and gym will be available in the hostel. Every year Oct or Nov there will be annual fest. Apart from it there will girls and boys hostel tests during Feb or March. Classrooms are air-conditioned, there will be a screen for PowerPoint presentations. Library, air conditioned, well equipped. All books will be available for an undergraduate course. There will be many social groups and clubs yearly based.

A single room will be given, it will be shared by two members. During final year one may get a single room for one. No attached bathroom. No air conditioner. Hostel canteen will be present for all 3 meals. Apart from the hostel, one can find many single rooms around the hospital area itself.

There will be a medical examination before admission a basic health check-up. There will be no specific interview before admission after you clear out meet.
