Entrance Preview
I took UPCAT rank 411. I opted for this college because i heard that it is one of the best dental college in north india and it had the best faculty to guide the students. Also the discipline level that this college maintains is the trademark of this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum contains of total of 17 subjects related to oral health which is completed in span of 4 years.
Internships Opportunities
Yes the college provides us with 1 year of internship. We interns are alloted with loads of patients which would help us with the hands on practice when we come out of the college and set up a clinic. Dental camps are also scheduled for the backward areas. Stipend Rs 2200 month.
Placement Experience
Honestly in this dental field placements do not matter. Majority of students go for post graduation or set up their own clinic.Even though in this college faculty jobs are open for UG or PG passouts but mind it they need to be very good.
College Events
We have an annual fest named "Occlusion" in which various colleges participate and annual sports meet too. The most beautiful thing about this college is that almost every year some International or national conferences takes place. We get to interact with very experienced people in our field and there are many debates competition poster presentations,seminars and publication of articles.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Honestly speaking in my view fees structure is expensive but if we look at fees of other private colleges it is on the par with the other colleges. Moreover for every medical field fees structure is always high. Fees structure Rs.2,40,000 year.
Fees and Financial Aid
As far as am concerned loan facilities are available for this college. And yes scholerships are provided to the students. Some students recently went to boston a part of scholership programme.
Campus Life
The gender ratio is predominatly girls.Ratio would be in favour of girls i.e 4:1. The campus life is good at here. Labs are well equipped and there is never a shortage of any material. There are no such political dominance out here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are well equipped,well furnished,washroom facilities are good,close to library,sports ground is near by. The hostel closes by 9 pm and canteen is also near by and yes the mess food is average in comparision to home food).The hostel room is shared by 3 students for which they are given seperate beds and seperate study tables.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes the seniors are here are very helpful be it in studies,clinical work or motivating us to do various reseach things. They are always in our ears to guide us to study and are always there for our help in daily life.
Exam Structure
In first 3 years we have 3 exams each every year and in final year 8 exams takes place for which we are given ampful time to prepare. You cant say that is hectic if we are given good time to study for the exams.
Faculty
The faculty here is very experienced and masters in their fields. Some of the faculty are in top 5 or top 10 dentists in india.
