Remarks
Nothing bad I want to say about my college as I had wonderful 3 years there.
Entrance Preview
There was college entrance exam for the admission but since I was scoring more than 75% in my 12th standard,I got direct admission. One of the current student at that time referred us this college as I wanted to do Biotechnology. This college was affiliated to University of Rajasthan.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus was quite vast and good and covered all aspects of Biotechnology. I actually like both Bachelor's and Master's level syllabus for Biotechnology at University of Rajasthan. If a student has read it thoroughly, he,she can qualify NET or GATE easily and Teachers were very research oriented and encouraged students a lot.
Internships Opportunities
No internships as far I know but still there are labs and a tie-up with a pharmaceutical company. So students can alteast work on short projects and get familiar with the instruments.
Placement Experience
Placements were not so good when I was doing graduation there. But now as much I have heard there is a lot of improvement. Many companies visit the campus but they are mainly for B.Tech and MBA students. For Biotechnology or other Life Sciences students also they have arranged a lot of companies to visit the campus.
College Events
We had an annual fest VIBGYOR. It was a inter college fest and our college was very welcoming to the outside students. Apart from this there were always these festivals and events celebrated now and then. Sports is also very much focused thing there.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees for my course was also not so cheap not too high as an engineering course. But then its worth it as the course is a very good one.
Fees and Financial Aid
No idea about the loans. Neither there are any scholarships at this college. Rest any student with bad financial status can ask the management for any scholarships.
Campus Life
All kinds of social activities takes place in the campus. The management is always at front for carrying out such activities. Gender ratio is more towards male side but the campus is safe and sound for girl students as well. As I myself has a batch of 85 students with 65 girls. There is this annual fest and throughout the year some or the festival or meetings going on.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are a bit expensive but they are worth paying. Food in girls hostel was very good and quality checks were made more often.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumini meetings are held and its quite refreshing. Seniors are always a help for the new students and pass outs. They always assist you with what to pursue in future.
Exam Structure
When I was studying there it was not so hectic as the exams were annual thing. But now they have started with the semester thing. And it has become quite packed schedule for the students and exams are more frequent. I feel this a good practice as students are not left idle to waste their time. Also, syllabus is read more than usual one time.
