Remarks
I choose the Mechanical Engineering course in HBTU because I like the workshop. I like to know about the properties of metals - how they are affected by temperature and other surroundings. Also, the pass out student from this college told me that this college basically look for practical knowledge, which results in better knowledge to the students. The Heat Transfer part fascinates me the most. Apart from theory, they prepare the students towards practical work so that the students experience the work before going in any industry.
Course Curriculum Overview
The teachers have knowledge, they are helpful if you ask them questions in their cabin. But the teaching quality of most of the teacher is bad. The course curriculum is same as in other colleges. They prepared the students through theories. But the lab conditions are the worst here. Only the workshop portion are good. There you can actually experience the industrial work.
Placement Experience
I am a student of Mechanical Engineering in HBTU. Here about 60% to 70% of students are placed through campus placement. Remaining are preparing for higher education or off-campus placement. The highest package in the Mechanical engineering branch in the 2020 pass out batch is 7.1 LPA approximately. The top recruiting companies were Hero Motocorp, Saint Gobain, Samsung, Aditya Birla Group, etc. 2-3 companies came in 3rd year for internship and Maximum 5-6 students selected through campus internship.
College Events
The campus life is best I love my friends. About the gender ratio in college is not good about 25-30 percent of girls in my course only 3. Scene of labs are also not good there are equipments and machine which do not work and some which are costly. There are two fest held in my college first technical, literature & cultural and the other is sports. The college budget for the cultural and technical fest is so less about 4-5 lakhs of which technical get only 15-20 percent of it. Free wifi system provides extraordinary happiness to ourselves.
