Akshil's Review On Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College - [BVM], Vallabh Vidyanagar

I have heard from the common public that this college is best for mechanical. That's why I chose this college. I was sure for mechanical branch though. If I would have to grade this college on the scale of 10, then I would grade this college 1/10. Infrastructure is extremely poor. Classrooms are poorly ventilated. No facility for the canteen. It doesn't have a proper drainage system which can be clearly seen during the rainy season. Faculties are full of arrogance at least of my branch. Their no proper management of anything on the campus. Very facility for sports equipment and wifi and they collect fees for that even if you utilise these or not. wifi speed is 100-125kbps at max.

Academics and faculties suck. They use only conventional methods to teach. There is no learning at all. Faculties are full of attitude and are arrogant. They only textbook knowledge nothing else. They don't know how to speak in English still they speak very confidently which is very bad.

since 5 6 years placements are getting worse specially for core branch. This is because the academic subjects are highly out dated and their is very less internships available which can bring practical exposure of ours to the industry. Every company hires 1 or 2 students at max offering an average package of 3-3.25lacs/year.

campus life has no glamour. It has one sports event and one yearly tech fest in which many of faculties don't support students. They just don't support. Faculties don't give attendance who would be in the event committee and every year one or two students becomes a victim of this thing and they get detained. Even if you want to start some new technical activity on the campus than also many of the faculties would doubt you and won't support you.

College doesn't provide any scholarship, any Gujarat government offers few scholarships. These can be availed on the basis of our 12th std result and college result.

Infrastructure is very poor. No facility for proper toilets, sports room. No canteen is available. Wifi is of 2G speed. Ventilation is very poor. Benches are very small. In short, you don't feel like college over there in any way.
