Jenish Shah's Review On Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College - [BVM], Vallabh Vidyanagar

It is one of the oldest and most importantly the best institute to pursue mechanical engineering. And also the experience of Vidhyanagar cannot be obtained elsewhere. The campus is amazing and also the faculty are the most respected and experienced, the ones whose books are being referred through out the world like H G Katariya, J P Hadiya.

Our course syllabus was in accordance with AICTE and also our college was NBA AA accredited college. The facies are having an experience of 30 years in teaching. Also the alumni is the largest among the universities in Gujarat. There help in industrial exposure was amazing. Also the CEO of L&T Sir Anil Naik is an alumni of this college and also his guidance in being compatible with the changing world of science and engineering was amazing.

TPC works in a very different way in our college starting from enormous placement activities to placement of students in desired companies. Many companies like L&T, Reliance, TCS etc. Come at our college for placements throughout 8 departments. Alumni association as I told has a huge network probably the largest in India and hence they provide us with amazing on campus jobs. Also this college has a high value in market and so off campus placements are also easy.

Every year there are 2 sports week one in each semester along with that in odd semesters there is a technical fest, while in even semesters there is a grand techno-cultural fest by the name UDAAN - A Euphoric Leap. Also the placement activity takes place every year so that by the time you face real placements you would have a taste of past 3 years of sitting in GD or PI and also aptitude. In total there is participation of around 2000 to 3000 students in every fest.

As it is a government institute all the benefits given by government like MYSY in which every students gets 20000 for a semester from the government if your annual income is less than 6 lakhs,and many other such government benefits you can avail.

Bvm has one of the best football teams in Gujarat. I myself am the captain of the football team. Apart from this the Wi-Fi facilities and library facilities are equally good. BVM is one of the 10 institutes in India who have been offered super computers and also lab equipments are steady and all in good working conditions. BVM is the only institute in Gujarat to have a regular size working boiler. Such things are not seen by some engineers in their entire life.

Vallabh Vidhyanagar is famous for students and is by far the very important and largest student campus around Gujarat with a total student strength of 80000 to 1 lakh every year. College has its own hostel with amazing infrastructure including swimming pools, dining halls, basketball and tennis courts,etc.Apart from this in vallabh Vidhyanagar there are enormous number of private hostels and paying guests where you can stay. Any host would cost you around 20000 to 30000 a year along with food costs. Except that you go for higher class AC rooms which will cost you around 50000
