Remarks

Following are the reason I chose this college. 1. According to the merit that I scored this is the best I got. 2. The placement record of this college is quite good and almost every hotel and retail brands visit this institute. 3. The hostel facility is also quite good and the best among all IHM institutes. 4. Lastly Gandhinagar is a very beautiful and green City. It is also quite safe.

Course Curriculum Overview

Hospitality industry is one of fastest growing Industry that's why I chose hotel management course. The curriculum is not updated as we are still studying the same syllabus my seniors used to study. I got a chance to do my industrial training from Taj City Centre Gurugram and it was a good experience there I got to learn a lot of things about the Industry. The faculties are quite good especially Deepak sir. His method of teaching is awesome.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I have done my internship from Taj City Centre Gurugram as trainee with a stipend of 1250 per month. You have to go through personal interview to get selected for industrial training.

Placement Experience

Following companies visit our institute. Oberoi's The park ITC The Fern Accor IHG Reliance McDonald Taco Bell Aditya Birla fashion and retail They offer management trainee, corporate trainee and operational trainee position to the students. Placement process includes psychometric test then group discussion and lastly personal interview for retail aspirants. There has been some students who have opened their own bakery and restaurants. There is a cell named hunar se rojgar dedicated to the entrepreneurs.

College Events

This college organise annual function and food fest every year. Moreover we celebrate every festival in this college. Festival can be celebrated by hostel students only. Also this college host chef competition and distribute prizes according to their performances.

Campus Life

In terms of infrastructure I would say that IHM Ahmedabad has separate kitchen for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. The library is well equipped with textbooks and magazines. It has computer with LAN connectivity. There is WiFi connectivity in the college however it is password protected.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is one of best among the IHMs. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. There is a common mess that offers three times meal. Also there is infrastructure for both indoor and outdoor sports activities. We are provided with bed, mattress, table, chair and cupboard in the room. There is single, double and triple occupancy room given on the basis of year they are studying in.
