Remarks

High quality education with a nominal fees. Helping and supporting faculy. No ragging. Helping seniors. Good sex ratio are some of the factors which drove me tk take admission in IISER Mohali. Also it is near to Chandigarh.

Course Curriculum Overview

There should be some changes in course structure. PCB students should not be forced to study Mathematics and PCM students should not be forced to study Biology. Instead of these more interdisciplinary courses should be introduced.

Placement Experience

Job opportunities include government jobs like civil services. Last year a senior was able to get selected in UPSC examination. Some students go for industries job mainly of Chemistry department and other students go for PhDs.

College Events

The location of IISER Mohali provides you a great opportunity to enjoy all the fun activities in Chandigarh and Mohali. You can enjoy late night clubs and parties and there are no such restrictions to go outside of campus at night

Campus Life

There is a common stadium for cricket and football and other sports have their own individual stadium. Floods lights are there in every ground. Intra and inter IISER sports meet are organised every year and medals and trophies are provided to star performers.

Hostel Facilities

I am in hostel-8 of our college there are total 4 hostels and visitor hostel in our campus. We have 24*7 hour water and electricity supply. Every room has a study table and almirah. Every room has attached balcony to it.

Hostel Fee: INR 4000 per year

Nice collage for middle class students

Placement Experience:

onwards 4th semester students are eligible for internship and after 6th semester students are eligible for placements and companies which repeatdly visits are collage are TCS, infosys, LNT, mother dairy, IBM etc. Average package of this collage is nearly 4 lakhs per annum and placement percentage is around 70 percent.

A perfect place for growth and learning

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because the curriculum is well-designed and covers all the important MLS subjects with both theory and practical training. It helps us understand real-world lab work and prepares us for future studies or jobs. The curriculum is good, but adding more practical sessions and updated lab equipment would make it even better. Exams are held regularly, and their difficulty level is moderate. Students can easily pass if they study on time, though practical exams need more focus.

Great College for Medical Students

Course Curriculum Overview:

Firstly I was not sure if i should do i MLS course, but after I came to this college , they cleared my vision. I don't have enough knowledge about this specific field, the montors guided me & helped me to choose the best. Now I am very happy and satisfied as being the part of MLS department. I will become a Lab technician after this course. The lab technicians plays a very important role in healthcare department. This college provides internships to practice everything. They also conducts job fairs for students such as" Umeed Job Fair "which was conducted recently in the college. The 1st year is basically is theoretical & practical knowledge, after that in 2nd or 3rd year, students gets placements.

I am a first year student and I don't know much about placement. But I did heared they provide placements and company do visits eg fortis.they do claim to provide packages around 2.5 LPA to 7 LPA. My plan after getting a degree is to study masters and then get a job in a respective it company

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course that is bsc in artificial intelligence and data science is quite demanding and I think this is the only field which is growing faster. Another reason for choosing this was I had huge interest in this field. But faculty,their teaching way and syllabus is too way less as compared to course. They focus more on their rather than the practical work but in this field practical work is more important than theory as theory plays no role in this field . They must reduce the number of mid sem exams conducted and focus more on making students better in practical work. After the starting of semester, just after 25 days when syllabus not even completed as the 1st unit.. they shout spreading the news of exams. We just got too busy in exams which make us feel distracted from our real work .
