Remarks
IISERs are some of those national importance colleges which have a good proportional of female candidates. They are safe for girls. There is no ragging in IISER Mohali and seniors are very helpful. These are some of the factors which help me in choosing IISER Mohali.
Course Curriculum Overview
IISER is a research institute and it's main motive is to produce scientists and the course structure is designed in the same way. Course structure are designed according to the time and foreign universities.
Internships Opportunities
I have done a reading project under one of our college faculty. There is no stipened provided on reading projects.
Placement Experience
There are no direct placements in any company after your 5 year degree. College is also lacking a placement cell. Administration of IISER Mohali also doesnot want that there should be placement cell so they never support whenever students demand for placement cell.
College Events
INSOMNIA is the annual fest of IISER Mohali which is generally a 3 days events held every year in the month of March in which students from all nearby colleges. There are around 19 clubs in our college which make college life full of joy.
Campus Life
Campus is spread in 124 Acres with a lot of greenary. There are ample of bentches a various peaceful places to enjoy the environment. Dustbins are there on every short distance to make campus neat and clean. Sports facilities are good and stadiums have flood lights.
Hostel Facilities
Yes, I am staying in Hostel No 5. There are total 4 hostels of 8 floors each. For first 2 years you get shared room with your batchmate but after 3rd year you have been given single room and you can do modifications in your room according to your prefernce.
