Remarks
I chose this college and course as I was always interested in doing Hotel Management (HM) and I aimed for IHM Ahmedabad and fortunately I got it. What about love about IHM Ahmedabad is they are best in academics, best for campus placements, comparatively economical and the main reason for choosing this college was the city (Gandhinagar).
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes we have a very updated syllabus and talking about the industrial exposure that work has been done by our college for us in our 2 year that is they arrange our interviews with the hotel we choose to do Industrial Training with that is for a four month period. And talking about the faculties many of them are really knowledgeable and acknowledge us alot. They groom us physically, mentally in a perfect manner. It surely boosts our confidence and build our personality.
Placement Experience
Company that usually visit our college for campus are Accor, Oberoi, Hyatt, The Fern, aditya birla, tommy Hilfiger, McDonald's and many more. Companies for hotel campus, Food retail, Non - food retail visit our campus. All of these hotels/companies have a common placement process that is Group discussion, Personal interview, Psychometric test, General Manager round. Their are hotels/ companies coming up with their Management Trainee (MT) programmes which provide a good package and held more other rounds for the campus.
College Events
We have many events organised by college few of them are Food fests, National seminar, Annual functions etc. And these events are being held on a huge level. People from different areas experts, professionals become a part of it.
Campus Life
We are usually not provided with sports facilities as it does not goes with the college timings but we do have a very huge Library filled with N number of books which are very helpful and we too have a proper mess adding up to it good kitchens, restaurants etc. for our practicals.
Hostel Facilities
I live in a Girls hostel which accomodates 150 students where we have double and triple occupancy rooms. We pay around 4k per month as our hostel fees. Hostel becomes really convenient for the students as it is attached with the college (it is inside the college campus itself) and mainly we get 3 meals per day that is Breakfast, Hi-tea, Dinner ( Lunch being provided during college hours).
