Remarks
Interest in Research was the key factor in choosing a Research Institute and IISERs are best in Research field. My interst from starting was in basic science and to pursue this I choose this one. Also it is a national importance college.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is designed in very appropriate way and is regularly updated accordingly to the need of time. New courses are regularly added and IDC courses are introduced to give knowledge of every topic which is required in Research work.
Placement Experience
The motive of this college is to promote basic science and research activity. This college doesn't teach technical courses so you can't get direct placements in companies but some students especially of Chemistry department get job in R&D department of various chemical industries.
College Events
Campus Life is full of joy. Every week activities are organised by various clubs. There are dance and music club in the college. There are regular Dj nights to celebrate festivals. INSOMNIA- is the annual cultural fest of college. IISER sports meet is organised every year. Intra matches are also organised among batches.
Campus Life
IISER Mohali has one of the best campus among all IISERs. Due to faults in administration a lot of funds has been wasted and lost. Paper work show something else and in reality it is something else but still the campus is beautiful with lot of greenary and wildlife.
Hostel Facilities
Hostels are compulsory for every student and this is also required because Research needs time and focus and if you live outside of hostel then you can't focus on your academic properly and also you can't enjoy hostel Life which is an important part of one student life.
