Remarks
Good thing is well disciplined campus and bad thing is too much restriction in campus. Mostly you cannot bunk a class. If so then your id card is gone and for getting back you will need a lot of strength and patience. One more bad thing as good is they are sending results copy directly to home to your parents.
Entrance Preview
As I had written AIEEE exams and got reputed ranks and can get good colleges in west Bengal but at that time only CS & IT was available. Due to family recommendations I have to take electrical engg. So I moved to south and had no idea about ANNA UNIVERSITY. As this university takes admission on the basis of 12th marks scored in Tamil board. But I was from cbse board. When I asked about the procedure they told us to pay some amount. So I paid it and got through admissions.
Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about the course structure there will be 8 semesters. In each semesters 3 internal exams will be taken and then one internal major examination. So that students can prepare accordingly for final university exams. Well about course and curriculum this all is planned and prepared by Anna university.
Internships Opportunities
Talking about internship it is not up to mark as college doesn't allow to do internship due to short duration in semesters. If any allowed then permissible days allowed is 10-15 days.
Placement Experience
Placement is good as mostly IT companies used to visit the campus. Some major companies which visited during our batch is CSC,WIPRO,HCL and others. Around 12-18 companies has visited. Even I got the job through college placement in electrical core company. The average package they used to offer is around 3 lakh.
College Events
College festivals mostly happened in form of organising technical symposium and national conference seperated for each department. Usually these things celebrated on large stage as many students from over India used to participate in these technical things.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes our college provide Mahatma Gandhi scholarship worth of 7 crores to students. Yes you can take loan up to 4 lakhs from government banks.
Campus Life
Campus life is nice but not good. But they will make you a gentle man. As disciplin is very strict. You cannot take mobile to campus and you cannot share things with girls. If caught they will take your id card and will call your parents. Here id card is the most valuable things. Without id card you are not allowed to enter college or anywhere in campus.
Hostel Facilities
At starting hostel fees was less around Rs 40000 but per year it kept on increasing. In 2013 it became around Rs 70000. But facilities food are worth of money. Food provided will be of two types south Indian food and north Indian food. Out of five points I will give 4 to hostels 3.5 to food and 3 to fees. If you are going for PG it will cost you around Rs 6500 on sharing with two other person.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network cab be rated 2.5 out of 5. But with seniors it is like a friend contacting others. There is 1% ragging available that also in the form of interaction. They will ask only your introduction.
Faculty
About the faculty they are above average as they are mostly PhD and well experienced well supportive as guidance. Even language problem will not be an issue mostly 95% of faculty will prefer to talk in english.
