KJC is a very famous college both in and out of the city. It is a well reputed college known for its social reputation, disciplined culture, placements, infrastructure, and co-curricular activities and opportunities
Course Curriculum Overview
Though the course is divided in its structure, it provides a balanced and beautiful exposure to all three subjects. However, it lacks in providing students a high level of knowledge in each subject individually. The Psychology department of KJC is probably the greatest in Bangalore. Fr. Emmanuel, Ms. Amani and Mr. Mubarak are a few amazing teachers among them. Mrs. Susan Sanny, from the department of English, is one of the greatest of teachers and linguistic scholars I've seen in the field of English Literature.
Placement Experience
A lot of companies come for placements every year. Cognizant, Deloitte and EY are a few. Students from BBA and B.Com have a lot of opportunities. MBA students of KJC have a high demand among companies that come for placements.
College Events
There are so many types of fests and events in all departments and subjects that add colour to the college life of Jayantians. For Arts students there are intracollege fests, such as Delphia, Cognizance and Humantra. Kalajyoti, Ethnic Day, Nrityanjali and College Day are events where the whole college comes together. The happiness and joy that these celebrations bring, are beyond description.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are scholarships for students: 1. Those who show excellence in academics 2. Those who show excellence in sports and art activities of the college.
Campus Life
There are 3 blocks: Main block, PG block, Admin block. The Main block is famous for its library, big quadrangle and basement cafeteria. The PG block is famous for it's gymnasium, music room, and the classic SKE auditorium. The Admin block of KJC is the "real deal", with very large classrooms, several auditoriums, a huge cafeteria and a large parking lot in its basement.
