This College is under the affiliation of University of Calcutta. So it follows the Curriculum and Syllabus of the same University. It conducts B.Sc. (Hons.) course in Physics.

There is no such internship or stipend available for the courses offered by this institution. Generally for the academic main stream courses under University of Calcutta there is no such option for availing stipend or internship.

The Technical fest organized by the college is bi annual. Cultural fest is organized every year as well as freshers welcome and farewell to passing outs is organized by the individual department every year. Apart from these events different cultural and social events with several student competitions are organized at regular intervals.

The fee structure is feasible as this is institute is govt aided. Average monthly tuition fee is RS. 500 approx one time admission fee. This includes all the charges except hostel fees for food and lodging.

As per my knowledge few scholarships are available but they will not provide much amount or financial relief to a needy. Again no such loan facility is available from financial institution.

Gender ratio is even. Hostel facilities are now better than a decade before. Workshop or Lab. Facilities are excellent then as well as now. Cultural activities are regularly organized at different level. There was no unwanted event happened regarding gender,Race,religion,economic status of pupils. But the political matters that takes place in this institute is actually pulling the institute backwards continuously.

Separate hostels for boys and girls. Hostel rooms are shared by four. The rooms are of average standard with uninterrupted supply of electricity and water. PG's are readily available in surrounding areas at monthly cost ranging Rs. 3000 to Rs. 5000 depending on sharing and quality of meals.

The University exam occur once in a year. But the internal exam. Takes place quarterly total three. The internal exam includes only theoretical papers.

Many of the faculty members of this college belongs to the elite category from point of delivering lectures or educating students and providing high quality lab session. But at the same time many of the faculty members are not able to teach at all though they all have doctoral degrees.
