Remarks
The history of the university drew my attention. The campus still has the history intact, zoology department is still running in the heritage building of the university and the most important thing is the university is in the center of the vadodara city.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus of all the courses in the university are well updated with new curriculum and free choice of elective subjects along with principle subject. Exposure to practical knowledge is extraordinary with wax/wooden model of animals in zoology department and herbarium and botanical garden in botany department as research other departments like biochemistry, microbiology, chemistry, geology, geography also have well set labs with all the equipments needed. Faculty of science has a lot to offers to it's students in my opinion.
Placement Experience
Students from my department zoology have pursued career as research student with in the campus others have actively taken up social work, animal resume programs and some hands on experience in the labs.
College Events
The campus is lively with multiple fest taking place in different departments around the year, university fests and faculty fests are also arranged. celebration such as Navratri and university student council election occurs in full swing. There's active participation from students and there are a lot of other events such as tech fest, fine arts fair, BBA bazigar and paramarsh, concerts, poetry and plays happening around the year.
Campus Life
Speaking about the infrastructure the university has smt HANSA MEHTA library which is one of the biggest libraries in Asia along with another library specially for UG students. University has well set labs for all the courses that need it. There is free access to WiFi once registered by the students. Students interested in sports can practice/ play sports such as basketball, football, volleyball, swimming in the department of physical education anytime. Campus has 3 canteens and 2 nestcafŽ and Spacious parking area.
