Harish's Review On S.A. Engineering College, Chennai

The college is good compared to all other similar range of colleges they maintain college neat and tidy by proper maintainance with excellent laboratories. We hav tennis courts and volleyball court anf football ground. The staffs and management are friendly they provide help and support us always. The only thing is that the elective subjucts will be choosen by department not by us and also we have student feedback system which has to be monitered and taken care of by a staff appointed separately.

Actually went through ANNA university councelling. I havent had any entrance exam.they alloted me based on my cut of marks of maths, physics and chemistry. As my college had good Ranking and within the city i choosed it.

The course structure is good which was followed as per Anna University Norms. The faculty in our college is also good and capable of teaching . The electives was choosed by college but it was Also useful and good. The course had around 36 subjucts with 20 labs . We have to clear all these to get our degree. The syllabus quality must be improved nich more practical by Anna University to develop oue skills, it should be based on current trend and innovatipns.

Nope. The college hasnt provided any such internships. I myself surfed in Net and went for a internship at Insystronics with a stipend of 6k. Overall experience of internship wa very useful . but it was not provided by my college. My internship at my company was good i obtained more and more practical knowledge from Internships and Inplant Training . My college took us to Industrial Visit once a semester to improve our knowledge which was not enough.

The Placements and job opportunities waa good a lot and lots of company came for On-Campus and Off-Campus in our college. The problem is that we got very few core companies all others wer IT Company.Even i too got selected in a IT Company but not interested to work in it as it was not my core field of study.

We celebrate symposiums, Sports day and Annual day. The annual day will b celebrated by college sponsership And we will hav all cultural events and prizes. The symposiums will be celebrated by student to get knowledge of other college symposium. The symposium will be great helps us to learn leadership and management skills.

The fees structure is average we hav around 60k per year + tution fees. I am a day scholar so am not familier with hostel fees which is around 50k. The hostels are good we have separate hostels for mens and womens. The mess food was also good and hygienic.

We can avail loans on our own by approaching bans. I got Loan from SBI bank by providing required documents. My college helped me by accepting scholarships provided by tamilnadu Govt for First Graduate of Family and caste based scholarships. The fees was not very high it is affordable and worth paying. Its better to take educational loans because government will cancel the interest to be paid by us.

The campus was good and cleanly maintained by our college management. The Gender ratio was also fair lik 8:5 we also had several workshops and guest lectures. The workshops was conducted by IIT on Robitics. The Guest lectures will be held by our alumni and other famous personalities once a month. The college is economically good, they provide lots of facilities lik playground and laboratories.

The Alumni had a group at Facebook created by our college for current students to Interact with them. The Alumni also helping us in all possible ways like reffering us for job opportunities. Overall the Alumni are awesome they are in good positions with a helping mind.
